Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about that WWE business. Folks been talkin’ about it all week, and I heard from a few who ain’t shy to share their gossip. Seems like them folks at WWE got a bit of a stirrin’ up to do after that Friday night SmackDown in Orlando. You know, the one where they all went and wrestled up at that big ol’ Amway Center? Yeah, that one. They made some last-minute changes to the show, and folks ain’t sure what to make of it.
I reckon this all got started when them Fightful folks started whisperin’. They got their sources, and they said WWE had a big ol’ mess of changes that folks at home didn’t even get to see. Now, I don’t know much about this fancy backstage stuff, but if they were changin’ things on the fly like that, it must’ve been somethin’ important. You see, they had a few plans set up, but I guess them plans didn’t quite hold up. We ain’t talkin’ small stuff here; this was a whole lotta rearrangin’.
One thing folks were mentionin’ was that some folks who weren’t expected to show up did just that. There was a big surprise return! Carlito, that fella from way back, came on back and made an appearance, all outta the blue. Now, I don’t know if y’all know him, but he’s got a bit of a reputation. And lemme tell ya, the fans loved it. They was hootin’ and hollerin’ like crazy. Now, what exactly he was doin’ there? Well, that’s a whole ‘nother story. He jumped in during one of them dark matches, which is like the secret wrestling they do before the main show even starts. Now I ain’t one to keep up with all them matches, but this dark one? It seemed to be a big deal, or at least, they made it one after ol’ Carlito showed his face.
But what really got folks scratchin’ their heads was how WWE kept on shiftin’ things ‘round. Now, I ain’t no expert, but when I hear somethin’ about a change after a show, it don’t sound too good. I mean, they had it all lined up, I reckon. But when the plans fall apart like a cheap dress in a storm, you gotta do somethin’. Guess that’s why they moved a few things ’round, makin’ sure the fans didn’t notice too much. But, for the folks in the know, well, they noticed.
Now, while I’m on the topic, did anyone else catch wind of that former AEW fella who showed up at the show? It was Andrade. Yeah, you heard me right, Andrade, and he wasn’t alone. He was with one of them big-name WWE stars. Seems like the ol’ rivalry between AEW and WWE ain’t quieted down none. I’m not sure what that means for the future, but it sure made some folks talk. They were seen enterin’ the building together, which ain’t somethin’ you see every day, I reckon.
But wait, there’s more. They also been shiftin’ things around for them other shows too, not just SmackDown. Apparently, after all these changes, they made a real big decision to pull SmackDown away from that FOX station. Been on FOX since 2019, but now they decided to go back to the USA Network. That’s a big ol’ change, ain’t it? Sure makes me wonder if they got bigger plans in the works. I mean, FOX ain’t too shabby, but I guess they figured something different was needed. Who am I to argue with them?
And just when you thought that was all, they got somethin’ planned for the future, too. If ya didn’t catch it, they got this show comin’ up in Buffalo, NY. The KeyBank Center is where they’re headin’, and folks expectin’ some fallout from that big ol’ Crown Jewel event. I reckon that’ll be somethin’ to see, especially with all these changes goin’ on. Y’all better keep an eye on that. Big things might be comin’ up. Heck, I don’t even know where to start with all the shake-ups they’re makin’.
In the end, one thing’s for sure: WWE’s been busy changin’ up plans and makin’ a lotta noise. Whether it’s surprise returns, changes to where the show airs, or wrestlers showin’ up where you least expect, I reckon we all got a lotta surprises ahead. And for those of you watchin’ from home, well, you might just see somethin’ new next time you tune in. But as for what all this means for the future of WWE? I’m just an ol’ lady from the countryside, but I’d say things ain’t gonna settle down anytime soon. Grab your popcorn, folks, ’cause it’s gonna be one wild ride!
