Okay, so today I decided to mess around with some data about women’s tennis. I had this idea, you know, to see if I could figure something out… I don’t know what, but I just wanted to play with the numbers. Nothing fancy, I’m no data scientist or anything.
Getting Started
First, I needed some data. I spent some time poking around the internet, and finally Found a data. I am no use the tools, so this was already a bit of a win for me!

Cleaning Up the Mess
Next,I downloaded the data. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. Lots of extra columns, some weird formatting… the usual stuff when you grab data from the web. So, I spent a good chunk of time just cleaning things up.
I only focused on a few key things, such as match, winner, loser.
Playing Around
After all that cleaning, I finally got to the fun part. I just started playing around, trying some simple stuff. I was thought it would be cool to see all data about players, and then I realized… I could make prediction model!
What I Learned (Maybe?)
- I confirmed that data cleaning is a pain, but it’s gotta be done.
- I realized that even simple data can be interesting if you just look at it the right way.
In the end I created a simple model about the data, It is not perfect, but It is intersting.I proved I can reaserch some intersting project by myself.
Anyway, that was my little adventure with women’s tennis data. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but I had some fun, and maybe I learned a thing or two. That’s all that matters, right?
