Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this gal, Lisa Witsken, and her tennis thing. She was one of them young’uns playin’ the tennis, real good too. Not like the fancy folks you see on the telly, but a good player all the same. I heard she was quite somethin’ in her day, playin’ in them junior leagues. Don’t know much about that, but folks say she had a racket like magic wand, whippin’ that ball around like nobody’s business.

Now, she went and got herself hitched to a fella, Bryan Shelton, another tennis player. Seems like them tennis folks stick together. But Lisa, she decided tennis wasn’t her thing anymore. Maybe she got tired of runnin’ around the court. Who knows? She up and switched to sellin’ houses. Real estate, they call it. Fancy word for sellin’ houses. Gotta make a livin’ somehow, right?
- She played tennis when she was young.
- She was good at it, played in junior leagues.
- She married Bryan Shelton, also a tennis player.
- She stopped playin’ tennis and started sellin’ houses.
This Lisa, she comes from a family of tennis players, it seems. Her own kid, Ben Shelton, he’s playin’ tennis now, makin’ a name for himself. And her brother, Todd Witsken, he played the tennis too. A real family affair, this tennis thing. Imagine that, everyone in the family hittin’ balls over a net. Must be somethin’ in their blood, eh?
I tell ya, it takes a lot to switch from one thing to another. One day you’re swingin’ a racket, the next you’re showin’ folks houses. It’s like goin’ from pickin’ berries to milkin’ cows. Completely different. But Lisa, she did it. Maybe she got tired of travelin’ for tennis. Maybe she wanted somethin’ more stable. Sellin’ houses, you stay in one place, talk to folks, show ’em around. Not bad work, I suppose.
Her kid, Ben, now he’s the one chasin’ tennis balls. Got his mama’s genes, they say. Wonder if Lisa ever gives him pointers, tells him how to hold the racket or somethin’. Mothers know best, they say. Even if they ain’t playin’ no more, they still know a thing or two. It’s in ’em, like knowin’ how to make a good apple pie.
I don’t know much about tennis, I gotta be honest. Seems like a lot of runnin’ back and forth, hittin’ a ball over a net. But folks love it, and it seems like this Lisa and her family, they’re right in the middle of it. From playin’ to sellin’ houses to raisin’ a tennis star. Life takes you on all sorts of adventures, don’t it?

This Lisa, she’s a woman who knows what she wants. Played tennis, then sold houses, raised a family. She made her choices, and that’s what matters. Ain’t no right or wrong, just doin’ what feels right for you. And from what I hear, she’s doin’ alright, tennis or no tennis.
