Okay, so I was messing around on the golf course the other day, and I kept seeing these red tees. I’d always just kinda ignored them, figuring they were for, like, super good players or something. But then my buddy, who’s way better at golf than me, told me they’re actually meant for beginners or people with shorter drives. It got me thinking, “What exactly are these red tees all about?” So, I did a little digging.
First, I hopped on my phone right there on the course (don’t tell the club pro!) and did a quick search. Turns out, the red tees are usually the forward-most tees on a golf course.

What I Found Out
- They make the hole shorter.
- They’re often called the “ladies’ tees,” but that’s kinda old-school thinking. Anyone can use them.
- They’re great for beginners, seniors, or anyone who doesn’t hit the ball super far.
Then I thought back to all the other beginners that I met, and it all started to make sense! I should’ve told them that they can move to the red tees.
So, next time you’re out on the course and feeling a little intimidated by the length of the holes, don’t be afraid to move up to the red tees. It’s all about having fun and enjoying the game, no matter your skill level. I even tried them out for a few holes, and you know what? It was way more relaxing! I wasn’t stressing about clearing some huge distance, and I could actually focus on my short game. I ended up practicing my swing and getting more accurate, which made my overall experience better.
