So, I finally decided to get a proper table tennis table for the house. Got tired of finding places to play, you know? Plus, thought it’d be good fun for everyone here.
Started looking around online, checking out different options. Lots of brands out there, some really pricey. Then I saw this one, a Prince table tennis table. Looked pretty sturdy in the pictures, and the price wasn’t totally crazy. Read a few comments, seemed decent enough. So, I pulled the trigger and ordered it.

Delivery day came. Man, the box was huge! Way bigger than I expected. Getting it from the truck to the garage was the first challenge. Definitely needed an extra pair of hands for that beast. Left it there for a day just to recover.
Putting It Together
Alright, assembly time. Opened the box, and yeah, lots of pieces. Legs, supports, the two big table halves, net posts, screws, bolts… the whole nine yards. The instructions were mostly pictures. Okay, but could’ve been clearer on a couple steps. Took me a good afternoon, longer than I thought it would. Had to get my son to help hold up one side while I bolted the legs on the other. Felt pretty good once it was all standing, solid and level.
Putting the net on was the last step. Pretty simple clamp system, thankfully. Stood back and looked at it – yeah, looked like a real table tennis table!
First Hits and Thoughts
Couldn’t wait to try it out. Grabbed my old paddle and a few balls. The first few bounces felt good. Nice, even bounce across the surface. It’s not like those super high-end tournament tables, obviously, but for home use? Perfectly fine. The surface had a good texture, not too fast, not too slow.
Played a few games with my son that evening. Was great fun. The table folds up too, which is handy because it does take up a fair bit of space when it’s down. Folding it isn’t too bad, but you need to be careful. It’s still heavy.
Been using it for a few weeks now. It’s holding up well. Good for practicing serves when I have a spare moment, and great for just knocking the ball around with family. Overall, pretty happy with the Prince table. Solid choice for home fun and some casual practice. Gets the job done without breaking the bank.
