Well, let me tell ya, 2023 was a real humdinger of a year for that wrestling stuff, the WWE. Folks was always yellin’ and jumpin’ around, seemed like somethin’ big was happenin’ every month. They had all sorts of matches, some on them fancy TVs and some not so fancy. Heck, I even tried watchin’ some, tryin’ to figure out what all the fuss was about.
Them fellas, they sure do like to fight. Always grapplin’ and slammin’ each other around. They had this thing called the Royal Rumble, sounded like a real mess to me. Lots of ’em all jumpin’ in the ring, tryin’ to throw each other out. Then there was somethin’ called Summerslam. Hot time of year for a fight, I reckon. They did it in Detroit, that big city.
- January, they had that Rumble thing.
- Then in August, it was Summerslam.
- And seems like every other month they had some other big fight, always somethin’ on them pay-per-views, whatever them things are. Cost ya an arm and a leg, I bet.
Them wrestlers, they ain’t just fightin’ for nothin’ neither. They got these belts, big shiny things. Championship belts, they call ’em. Seems like everybody and their brother was tryin’ to get one in 2023. Some fellas won ’em, some lost ’em. Hard to keep track of it all, to be honest.
One fella, Cody Rhodes, he was a real big deal. Come back after bein’ hurt, then won that Rumble thing. Got to fight for the big belt at somethin’ called WrestleMania 39. Big, big fight that one. Everybody was talkin’ about it.
Now, I hear tell there’s folks makin’ quizzes about all this wrestlin’ stuff. Testin’ your brain on who fought who and who won what. Guess if you’re into that sort of thing, it could be fun. Me, I got enough trouble rememberin’ where I put my glasses, let alone who won some fight back in March.
But them fellas at WWE, they sure do put on a show. Lots of action, lots of drama. And it ain’t just the fellas fightin’ neither. Them ladies get in there too, just as tough and mean as the men. They had tag teams, too. That’s when they fight two-on-two. Makes it even more of a kerfuffle.
I tell you what, 2023, it was a busy year for them wrestlers. Always somethin’ goin’ on. And folks seem to love it. Cheerin’ and booing, gettin’ all worked up. Me, I just sit here and watch, shakin’ my head. Sometimes I wonder if they’re all just a little bit crazy. But hey, long as they ain’t hurtin’ nobody too bad, I guess it’s alright. Keeps ’em busy, keeps ’em out of trouble, maybe.
So if you wanna know more about this WWE stuff, go on and take them quizzes. Test your memory, see if you can remember all them fights and champions. Me, I’ll stick to watchin’ the birds and waterin’ my plants. That’s excitin’ enough for this old gal.
They got all sorts of quizzes, too. Some about who won the titles, some about the big fights, some even about who just showed up at them events. Sounds like a whole lotta work to me, makin’ them quizzes. But somebody’s gotta do it, I suppose.
This whole TKO thing too, it’s confusing. Sounds like some big company bought up the wrestlin’ folks. Guess that means more money, more fights, more everything. Don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it sure is somethin’. And folks are still talkin’ about that fella Undertaker, even though he wasn’t wrestlin’ much in 2023, and that wild one Bad Bunny, and that fella CM Punk. Always somethin’ with them.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. A whole lot of wrestlin’, a whole lot of yellin’, and a whole lot of folks havin’ a good time. Or a bad time, dependin’ on who you’re rootin’ for, I reckon.
