Okay, so I’ve been a huge WWE fan since I was a kid. I mean, who didn’t love pretending to be The Rock or Stone Cold? But besides the wrestlers, the ring announcers always caught my attention. They just have this way of building up the hype, you know?
So, the other day, I was thinking, “Who are the best WWE ring announcers?” I started digging, making a list, watching old matches, and it turned into a whole thing. Here’s my process:

The Deep Dive
First, I made a list of all the announcers I could remember. Howard Finkel, obviously. Lillian Garcia. Justin Roberts. Tony Chimel. Even some of the newer ones like Greg Hamilton and Mike Rome.
Then, I started hitting up YouTube. I wanted to refresh my memory, so I typed their names and searched “best announcements” or “iconic moments.” Watched a bunch of clips. Man, the nostalgia hit hard!
Making My Own Ranking
After watching tons of videos, I started thinking about what actually makes a good ring announcer. For me, it’s a few things:
- Voice: It has to be unique and powerful.
- Style: Do they have their own flair? Do they make it exciting?
- Crowd Connection: Do they get the crowd pumped up?
- Iconic Moments: Are they remembered for any particular announcements?
I started jotting down notes for each announcer, thinking about how they stacked up in these areas. Some were easy – like, Howard Finkel’s voice is unmistakable. Others were tougher. I kept going back and forth, re-watching clips, and re-evaluating my opinions. I also remembered those good times when I watched it on TV.
The Final Result?
Finally, I had done my own little ranking. It’s totally subjective, of course, but that’s what makes it fun, right? It’s all based on my gut feeling and what I remembered.
I’m not gonna do a “best to worst” thing. Just sharing my journey. It’s like when I got my first car, it’s not the best, but I do have some good memories.
So yeah, that’s how I spent a good chunk of my time – reliving classic WWE moments and nerding out over ring announcers. I must say, it’s a great experience and a great memory!
