So last Tuesday I saw online that WWE’s hitting Kansas this month. Got curious ’bout who’s actually coming, figured I’d dig into it.
First Step: Checking Dates & Location
Grabbed my laptop around 8 PM. Went straight to WWE’s own site. Took ages just to load their dang event calendar. Scrolled through it and bam – Sprint Center in Kansas City! October 19th. Perfect.
Who’s Really Coming?
Started lookin’ at the names announced. Honestly surprised me. They weren’t just trotting out the newbies. Saw Roman Reigns listed, thought “No way he’s still showing up”. Clicked deeper. Yep. Still champ, still headlining. Then there was Seth Rollins, looked legit.

- Becky Lynch (Red hair, still throws punches mean)
- Bobby Lashley (Dude’s arms are bigger than my legs)

- Sami Zayn (Got that underdog thing going)
Did a double-take at Sami. Thought he’d be done after Wrestlemania drama, but nope. Still fighting.
Ticket Chaos
Decided I’m going. Site flipped me to Ticketmaster. Man. Prices jumped every time I blinked. Floor seats? Forget it. $300+. Ended up grabbing two $95 ones up top. Buddy backed out next day. Tried selling the extra one for weeks… crickets. Dropped price to $70 last minute. Nothin’. Sat empty beside me. Annoying waste.
Gameday Drive & Setup
Drove from Topeka that afternoon. Took forever – Friday traffic sucked. Piled into the Sprint Center parking garage at 6 PM. Took twenty minutes to climb up five levels. Place was already buzzing hard. Grabbed a beer. Spilled half of it some guy bumped me. Typical.
Found our nosebleed seats finally. Could barely see the ring. Seriously tiny down there. Complained to an usher. She felt bad, told us “Stand near Section 108 if you want. Guards might not notice.” So we did… ended up standing behind floor seats whole time. Better view honestly.
The Fights
Becky Lynch started first. Smacked some rookie blonde girl around the ring. Loudest pop all night when she made her tap out. Liv Morgan came later – did that crazy hanging corner flip thing.
Main event… Roman vs. Rollins. Whole building stood up. Felt the floor shaking when Rollins hit his stomp. Roman winning was obvious. But man, the pyro went OFF. Super loud. Thought someone fired a cannon. People screamed near me.
Aftermath Thoughts
Dragged myself to the car after midnight. So tired driving back. Worth it? Yeah. Big surprise was Sami Zayn though. Dude got people chanting “Olé” randomly. Kansas crowd ate it up.
Still think it’s wild how WWE keeps pulling these names into the Midwest. Used to be rare. Now? Feels like they push stars everywhere. Kansas ain’t even a wrestling state. Yet stadium packed. Go figure.
