Okay, so I went down a bit of a rabbit hole the other day, thinking about NFL teams and the color pink. It popped into my head, maybe ’cause I saw some pink fan gear somewhere, or maybe just ’cause October’s coming up eventually, you know, with the whole breast cancer awareness month thing the NFL does.
Anyway, I got curious. Like, are there any teams that actually use pink? Not just for a month, but like, properly? Or maybe just finding official pink stuff year-round. Seemed like a simple enough thing to check out.

So, first thing I did was just hit up the usual search engines. Typed in stuff like “pink nfl teams,” “nfl teams with pink colors,” you get the idea. And right away, it was mostly just results about the October campaign. Lots of pictures of players with pink gloves, pink towels, pink shoes. Which is cool, it’s for a good cause, obviously.
Digging a Bit Deeper
But that wasn’t really what I was after. I wanted to know if pink was, like, an actual team color for anyone, or if you could reliably get official gear in pink outside of that specific campaign push. So, I started checking out the official NFL shop site. Went through a bunch of teams, looking at their color options for jerseys, hats, shirts, everything.
And man, it was kinda sparse. You find pink stuff, sure, but it’s almost always labeled under women’s apparel, or it’s very clearly part of the ‘Crucial Catch’ campaign merchandise. Finding a standard men’s jersey, for example, in official team colors but just… pink? Not really happening. At least not officially licensed stuff that looked like regular team gear.
I spent a good hour or two clicking around. Tried different team shops directly, thinking maybe they had exclusive stuff. Same deal, pretty much. Lots of pink in the women’s section, lots of the BCA logo gear, but no, say, official Green Bay Packers jersey that’s just pink instead of green or white.
What I Found (or Didn’t)
So here’s what I kinda landed on after all that digging:
- No team uses pink as an official, primary, or even secondary team color. It’s just not a thing in the league’s official branding.
- Pink gear is overwhelmingly tied to the Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives in October. That’s when you see the players wear it, and when most of the official pink merch drops.
- There’s a lot of pink apparel targeted towards female fans, but it often feels separate from the main team identity colors. It’s just… pink clothing with a team logo on it.
- You can find tons of unofficial or custom-made stuff online in pink, naturally. But I was really looking for the official angle.
It kinda makes sense, I guess. The league wants the pink to stand for something specific – the BCA campaign. If teams just used it randomly, it might dilute that message. Or maybe it’s just tradition, sticking to the established team colors.
End of the day, the whole “pink NFL teams” idea is really just about that October push. It wasn’t some hidden team color scheme I’d missed. It was an interesting little project, though, just to confirm it for myself. Spent more time on it than I probably should have, just clicking through online shops and image searches. But hey, now I know for sure. No official pink teams, just teams showing support in pink when it counts for awareness.
