Alright, let’s talk about this WWE thing coming to Springfield, IL. You know, the wrasslin’. Heard it’s a big deal, lots of folks going.
WWE in Springfield, IL – What’s the Big Fuss?
So, they’re callin’ it “Road to WrestleMania.” Sounds fancy, huh? Like they’re gonna be marchin’ down the road or somethin’. But it’s just a wrasslin’ show, far as I can tell. They’re gonna be at that Bank Of Springfield Center place. Big building downtown, can’t miss it. They say it’s gonna be on March 23rd, 2024. Some folks even sayin’ there’s another one in 2025! My, that’s a lot of wrasslin’.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this wrasslin’ stuff, but my grandson, he’s all about it. He talks about these fellas… Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins… Sound like a bunch of lawyers or somethin’. But they’re just big fellas in tights, smacking each other around. My grandson tells me Drew fella might not stay in the wrasslin’ game for long, some contract thing or other.
- Tickets: Heard tell you gotta buy tickets to get in. Makes sense, I guess. They ain’t doin’ it for free. My grandson said you can get ‘em online. On the “inter-net” they call it. Fancy stuff. He says prices start at somethin’ like $35.00. Sounds like a lot of money to watch folks fight, but what do I know? He told me if I wanted to go to this thing in 2024, time to get tickets now! But in 2025 there are more shows all over, not just here. Shows everywhere from Europe to good ol’ England.
- When it’s on TV: Seems like these wrasslin’ matches are on TV too. My grandson watches ‘em all the time. Mondays, he says. On somethin’ called the USA Network. And other places too, depends on where you are. They got it in Canada, England, India… all over the world, I guess. Guess there’s a lot of folks who like watchin’ fellas in tights.
They’re callin’ this a “sports event.” Guess it is, kinda. Like boxin’ but with more… showmanship? My grandson says they got storylines and good guys and bad guys. Sounds like a soap opera to me, but with more muscles. They also say somethin’ about MMA and UFC. More fightin’ I guess. Too much fightin’ in this world if you ask me. But at least this way they just fight with each other in a ring. Now that ain’t so bad, I reckon.
So, Should You Go?
Well, that’s up to you, ain’t it? If you like watchin’ big fellas slam each other around, then maybe it’s your cup of tea. My grandson, he’s excited. Says it’s gonna be a big deal. Lots of yellin’ and cheerin’ and such. Me? I’ll probably stay home and watch my stories. Less noisy.
But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do on March 23rd, and you don’t mind a bit of a ruckus, then maybe this WWE thing in Springfield is just the ticket. Just remember to bring your earplugs. And maybe a helmet. Just in case one of them fellas goes flyin’ out of the ring. You never know with these wrasslers.
And hey, if you miss it this year, seems like they might be back in 2025. They love this town I guess. Or maybe they just like our big ol’ Bank Of Springfield Center. Either way, sounds like you’ll have another chance to see those fellas in tights do their thing. Just be ready for a whole lotta noise.
Just Remember: It’s all just entertainment. Don’t go gettin’ any ideas about tryin’ those moves at home. You’ll break somethin’, I guarantee it. Leave the wrasslin’ to the professionals.
