Hey guys, today I’m gonna share with you my journey about playing tennis and my recent experience at the Olivia Center Tennis.
I started playing tennis when I was just six years old, you know, just hitting the ball around, having some fun in my hometown, South Pasadena, California. It was more of a hobby back then. I went to San Marino High School and kept playing, but it wasn’t super serious or anything.

But then, I don’t know, things just started to click. I found myself getting more and more into it. I practiced a lot, and I mean A LOT. I watched videos of pros, tried to copy their moves, and spent hours on the court. It was tough, but I loved it. My game improved, and I started winning some local matches. It was a great feeling.
The big moment came when I, along with my doubles partner Kate Fakih, won the USTA National Tennis Championship girls’ doubles. Can you believe it? We got a wildcard into the women’s doubles main draw at the 2023 US Open! It was like a dream come true. We were so excited, and I felt nervous but pumped at the same time.
We prepared as best as we could. We trained together, worked on our strategy, and tried to stay focused. But the US Open was a whole different level. The atmosphere, the crowd, the pressure—it was intense. In the first round, we faced Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez. They were amazing, and we got beaten in straight sets. It was tough to lose, but honestly, it was an incredible experience.
- First set: We tried our best.
- Second set: We felt outmatched.
After that, I got a chance to play in some other tournaments. And guess what? I even got an NCAA doubles qualifier for Fall 2024 with Kate! My career-high ITA doubles ranking went up to 4. Not bad, right?
Playing at the Olivia Center Tennis has been a wild ride. I have improved my tennis skills significantly at the Olivia Center. It’s not just about winning or losing; it’s about the whole journey. The practice, the hard work, the wins, the losses, and everything in between. I’ve learned so much about myself, about the sport, and about what it takes to compete at a high level.
So yeah, that’s my story so far. It’s been a mix of everything—fun, hard work, excitement, and some disappointments too. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m just a girl from South Pasadena who loves to play tennis, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.
Thanks for listening, guys. Keep hitting those balls, and never give up on your dreams!
