Alright, so you wanna know how many white corners are in the NFL, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t a whole heck of a lot. It’s like lookin’ for a needle in a haystack, or a hen’s teeth, you know?
I heard tell there ain’t been a single white fella startin’ as a cornerback in the whole dang league last season. Every single one of them starters and their backups, they was all black. Now, ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, mind you, but it just goes to show ya how rare these white corners are.

But don’t go thinkin’ there ain’t any white fellas playin’ cornerback. There’s a few, just not many. I saw somethin’ online, some numbers and names, but it’s all gibberish to me. Justin somethin’-or-other, played for some team, MIA I think it was, had a few tackles. But mostly, it’s a whole lotta fellas with different names, you know, names I can’t even pronounce.
Someone was yappin’ on about 32 white cornerbacks in the NFL now. Said it’s been goin’ up a bit lately, the league gettin’ “more diverse” they called it. Sounds fancy, but I don’t know what all that means. All I know is, 32 ain’t much when you got so many teams and so many players.
- Hard to Find: White corners are super rare in the NFL. Seems like most of them are black fellas.
- A Few Out There: There are some white cornerbacks, just not many starting. They mostly play backup or special teams.
- Numbers Game: I heard there might be 32 white corners in the whole league. Sounds like a lot, but it ain’t when you think about how big the NFL is.
- Speedy Boys: I saw somethin’ about a white fella named Troy who ran real fast at some kinda test they do. Even got a hug from Deion Sanders, that fancy fella who used to play. Another one, McCaffrey, he was fast too, but not as fast as that Troy fella.
- Size and Muscle: They say these white fellas got an advantage bein’ tall and havin’ those fast muscles. But I reckon that ain’t enough, seein’ as how few of ’em are playin’ corner.
Now, they say these white fellas got the height and the muscle, you know, the “fast twitch” kind they call it. Makes ’em good at jumpin’ and runnin’ fast, I guess. But football ain’t just about that, is it? There’s more to it than bein’ big and strong. You gotta be quick, gotta be smart, gotta know where to be and when to be there.
It’s a tough job, this cornerbackin’ thing. You’re out there on that field, just you and them fast receivers. They’re runnin’ all over the place, tryin’ to get open, and you gotta stick to ’em like glue. One wrong step, one little mistake, and it’s a touchdown for the other team.
So, maybe that’s why there ain’t so many white fellas doin’ it. Maybe they’re good at other things, you know? Maybe they’re better at throwin’ the ball, or catchin’ it, or blockin’ for the fellas who are runnin’ with it. Everyone’s got their strengths and their weaknesses, ain’t that right?
Anyway, to answer your question, there ain’t many white corners in the NFL. They’re a rare breed, that’s for sure. But they’re out there, fightin’ for a spot, just like everyone else. And who knows, maybe someday we’ll see more of ’em. The world’s always changin’, ain’t it?
More Importantly though, it don’t matter what color a fella is, long as he can play ball, that’s what I say. If he’s good enough, he’ll make it, no matter what. That’s the way it should be, right?

So, next time you’re watchin’ a football game, keep an eye out for those white cornerbacks. They might be hard to spot, but they’re there. And who knows, maybe you’ll see one of ’em make a big play, intercept a pass, and win the game for his team. That would be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
