Okay, so I’ve been getting really into watching football lately, and I gotta say, figuring out which games are on in my area is a pain. I was really struggling to keep up with all this stuff, so I decided to dive deep into these NFL TV maps I kept hearing about. I mean, who wants to miss out on a good game just because they don’t know where to find it? Not me!
So, I started digging around. I found out that these maps change every week. It’s like, each week during the regular season, these maps come out to tell you what’s playing where. It’s pretty wild. I spent hours going through all these different sources, trying to understand how this whole thing works. I quickly realized that I was never going to remember all of this for each week, so I started making notes.

Then, I stumbled upon this site, 506 Sports. They have these maps for every week of the season. I spent hours on this site. They break down the coverage by network – like FOX, CBS, and all that. For example, I learned that FOX sometimes has three early games they air across the nation. For instance, one week they might show the New York Jets playing the Buffalo Bills, and apparently, Josh Allen is a big deal because he was the MVP favorite then. This is something Jim Nantz and Tony Romo would cover. I mean, I’m still learning who these guys are, but it sounds important, so I wrote it down.
But here’s the kicker, it’s not just about knowing which network has which game. It’s also about your location. Seriously, I was so frustrated. After hours and hours of work, I found it out. Your location plays a huge role in what you get to see. So, I started checking what games are on in my specific area, which took even more time. But it helped! I made notes of what to expect each week based on my location, which turned out to be super helpful. I even started color-coding things to make it easier on myself. Blue for games I definitely get, red for ones I might miss.
Here is what I have figured out:
- Check the coverage maps every week.
- Figure out what networks are showing games.
- See how my location affects what I can watch.
I’m still figuring all this out, but I wanted to share what I’ve learned so far. It’s a lot, and honestly, it can be overwhelming. I am still not sure if I really get it, but I’m trying. Hopefully, this helps someone else who’s trying to keep up with the NFL games. It’s a journey, but hey, at least we’re in it together. Go team!
