Okay, here we go – it’s time to talk about my fantasy football draft, the one where I picked 7th overall in a 1 point PPR league. Now, I’ve done a few of these drafts before, so I kinda know the drill, but this one felt a little different.
First things first, I got ready. I looked at some of those expert rankings and average draft positions (ADPs), you know, to get a feel for where players might go. They give you a decent idea, but honestly, every draft is its own beast.

Round 1: The Big Decision
Sitting at the 7th pick, I knew I wouldn’t get Christian McCaffrey. That guy’s a machine, and he’s always gone first. But I was hoping one of those top-tier wide receivers would fall to me. And guess what? They did! I snagged a top-five wide receiver who I think is going to be a stud this year.
- Round 1, Pick 7: Grabbed a stud WR
Round 2: Securing My Running Back
With my wide receiver locked in, I turned my attention to running back. I noticed that a few decent running backs were still on the board. I grabbed one who I think has a lot of upside.
- Round 2, Pick 6: Selected a promising RB
Rounds 3-6: Building Depth
Alright, so I had my RB and WR starters. Now it was time to fill out the rest of my roster. I decided to grab a quarterback somewhere in these middle rounds. I also picked up another wide receiver, another running back, and a tight end. Just trying to get some good value and build a balanced team.
- Round 3, Pick 7: Took a QB
- Round 4, Pick 6: Added another WR
- Round 5, Pick 7: Grabbed another RB
- Round 6, Pick 6: Secured a TE
The Later Rounds
The later rounds are always a bit of a crapshoot. You’re looking for those under-the-radar guys, the sleepers who might surprise everyone. I took some chances on a few players I like, hoping they’ll outperform their draft positions.
So, that’s how it went. I ended up with a team I feel pretty good about. Of course, you never really know how things will shake out until the season starts, but I think I put together a solid squad. Now, it’s just a matter of watching the games and making those crucial waiver wire pickups throughout the season. Wish me luck!
