Okay, so I saw these Taylormade Dragon golf balls and, like, dragons? I had to try them. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to smack a tiny dragon across the fairway?
Getting My Hands on Them
First things first, I needed to actually find these things. I checked a couple of local golf shops – nothing. I was a bit frustrated, but I went online and there they were and I ordered a dozen.

First Impressions
The box arrived, and man, the packaging was cool. I love the design! It has a dragon theme. I opened it up, and the balls themselves… well, they looked pretty awesome. The dragon design is printed right on them, making them look fierce. They definitely stood out from my usual plain white balls.
Taking Them to the Course
- I headed to my usual course, all excited to give these dragons a whack.
- I teed up the first one, and honestly, I felt a little extra oomph in my swing. Maybe it was just in my head, but I was feeling good.
- I let it rip, and boom! The ball flew. I mean, it really went. I’m not saying it was magically better than any other ball, but it definitely didn’t hurt my game.
How They Played
I played a full round with them, and I gotta say, I was pretty happy. I didn’t lose any more than usual (which is always a good thing). They felt solid off the club, and I didn’t notice any weird spin or anything like that. Were they worth to buy? Yes, I think they were.
I even got a few comments from other golfers. People were definitely noticing these balls. It was a fun little conversation starter.
Final Thoughts
So, are the Taylormade Dragon golf balls going to magically improve your game? Probably not. But are they fun? Absolutely. Did I enjoy playing them? 100%. I think it’s a good choice for golfers. If you’re looking for something a little different, or you just really like dragons, give them a shot. I’m definitely keeping these in my bag for a while.
