Alright, so y’all wanna know about this Razorback football team, huh? Let me tell ya, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout fancy football talk, but I can tell ya what I see. This here “depth chart” thing, it’s like who’s gonna play first, second, and so on. Like, who’s the main man, and who’s waitin’ in the wings, you get me?

So, first off, we got the offense. That’s the fellas tryin’ to score the points, runnin’ and throwin’ that ball. Now, for the quarterback, I reckon they got a few boys lined up. Can’t rightly say who’s gonna be the star, ’cause things change faster than the weather ’round here. One minute a fella’s healthy, next minute he’s nursin’ a boo-boo. Injuries, they call ’em. Danged things mess up a good team faster than a skunk in a hen house.
Then there’s them runnin’ backs. Them’s the fellas that carry the ball and try to bust through the other team. We got some strong boys, I tell ya. Big ol’ country boys, some of ’em. They run like a freight train, some of ’em do. But like I said, gotta stay healthy, or it don’t matter how strong ya are.
And the receivers, they gotta catch the ball. They run fast and gotta have good hands. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. That ball comin’ at ya fast, and you gotta grab it and hold on tight. It’s like tryin’ to catch a greased pig sometimes. But these boys, they practice and practice, so they get pretty good at it.
- Quarterback: Gotta be smart and throw the ball good.
- Running Back: Gotta be strong and run fast.
- Receiver: Gotta catch the ball and run fast.
Now, let’s talk about that defense. Them’s the fellas tryin’ to stop the other team from scorin’. It’s just as important as the offense, maybe even more so, some folks say. You gotta be tough to play defense, I tell ya. You gotta be willin’ to hit and get hit. It ain’t for the faint of heart.
We got the defensive line, them big boys up front tryin’ to get to the quarterback. They gotta be strong and fast, just like the runnin’ backs, but they gotta go after the other team’s quarterback instead of runnin’ with the ball. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.

Then there’s the linebackers, they kinda roam around and try to stop the run and the pass. They gotta be quick and smart, gotta know where the ball’s goin’. It’s like bein’ a hound dog, sniffin’ out the trail, I guess.
And the defensive backs, they gotta cover them receivers and stop ’em from catchin’ the ball. It’s like a cat and mouse game out there, them receivers tryin’ to get open, and the defensive backs tryin’ to stick to ’em like glue.
This here Razorback team, they play their games at this big stadium, somethin’ called Reynolds Razorback Stadium. It’s in a town called Fayetteville, up in the hills. Sometimes they play down in Little Rock too, at War Memorial Stadium. Lots of folks come out to watch ’em play, cheerin’ and hollerin’. It’s a real hootenanny, I tell ya.
They play in somethin’ called the SEC, Southeastern Conference. That’s a bunch of other big schools, all playin’ football against each other. It’s tough competition, I hear. You gotta be good to win in the SEC, that’s for sure.
Now, this team, they got all sorts of players. Young fellas, mostly. Some of ’em got family that played football too. Like this one boy, his cousin played in the NFL, that’s the big leagues. So, they got good bloodlines, I guess you could say. They were born in May, some of them. May 6th for this young fella, it says.

Injuries, like I said, they play a big part. If a fella gets hurt, then somebody else gotta step up and play. That’s why they got this here “depth chart.” So, everybody knows who’s next in line. It’s important to have good backups, ’cause you never know when somebody’s gonna get banged up.
This year, 2024, they’re hopin’ to have a good season. Every year, folks hope for a good season, but it don’t always work out that way. You gotta have good players, gotta stay healthy, and gotta have a little bit of luck too. It’s a long season, lots of games, and anything can happen. But these boys, they work hard, I can tell ya that. They practice and practice, tryin’ to get better every day. And that’s all you can ask for, really.
So, that’s about all I know about this Razorback football depth chart. It’s just a list of who’s gonna play, and who’s waitin’ in the wings. But it’s more than that too, I reckon. It’s about teamwork, and hard work, and never givin’ up. That’s what football’s all about, as far as I can tell. And that’s what these Razorbacks are tryin’ to do, win some games and make their fans proud. So, let’s cheer ’em on, and hope for the best. Woo Pig Sooie!
They play college football, somethin’ called NCAA Division I FBS. I don’t know all that fancy stuff, but it sounds important. They even got their official list, and they show everyone who plays first, that was for Pine Bluff game. They said no big surprises, but they don’t ever tell you nothing important till after it already happened.
