Getting Started with this Egg Hunt Madness
So, MLB The Show 24 rolled out this Egg Hunt program, and I figured, why not? Sounded like a fun little distraction, something different from the usual grind. My first thought was, okay, how many of these things are there and where do I even begin to look?
My First Few Finds – A Bit of Dumb Luck and Some Head Scratching
I started by just clicking around the main Diamond Dynasty menus. You know, like a digital scavenger hunt. Found one pretty quick, I think it was tucked away in the ‘Programs’ section itself, or maybe ‘Collections’? Can’t quite recall, but it was one of those “oh, there it is!” moments. Easy peasy.

Then I heard whispers, or well, saw some chatter online, that not all eggs were just sitting there waiting to be clicked. Some needed you to actually do stuff in the game. That’s when I thought, okay, this might take a bit longer than I originally planned.
Diving Deeper – Gameplay Eggs and Where I Found Them (Eventually!)
One egg, I remember, involved playing a specific Moment. I had to go into the Moments tab, find the right one – I think it was one of those “get on base with X player” types. Played it, completed the objective, and boom, egg popped up. That one felt pretty satisfying to get.
Another tricky one, for me at least, was tied to a Conquest map. I wasn’t even sure which map it was at first, or what the specific trigger was. Just started playing a random Conquest game, going about my business, and after capturing a specific stronghold, the egg icon showed up. Pure luck on that one, I swear. I was just trying to clear the board.
- Played a bunch of Mini Seasons games too, thinking one might be hidden in there. Took a while, but eventually, after winning a game in a certain way – I think it might have been an extra-innings win or something with a specific score – another egg was secured. I was just grinding out games and it happened.
- Then there was one that folks said was about getting a stolen base. That took a few tries, let me tell you. My base runners kept getting thrown out at second! So frustrating, but I kept at it with a speedy guy and finally got the timing right.
- I also remember one being hidden somewhere in the Showdown mode. Had to actually complete a Showdown, or maybe just a specific mission within it, to get that egg to appear. I usually avoid Showdowns, so that was a bit of a push for me.
The Not-So-Fun Parts and The Final Push
Not gonna lie, some of these eggs were a bit of a pain. Like, the clues were super vague, or maybe I’m just dense, haha. I spent a good chunk of time just hopping between different game modes, hoping I’d stumble upon whatever triggered an egg. Clicking on everything in sight sometimes.
There was definitely a point where I was like, “Is this even worth it for the rewards?” Especially when I was down to the last couple of eggs and had no solid clue where to look next. I was just replaying stuff I’d already done, hoping I missed a tiny detail or that it would just magically appear.
But then, you find one more, and then the last one… and that feeling of completion is pretty good. All those little egg icons finally checked off in the program list.
Was it Worth It? My Take on the Egg Hunt
So, after all that running around, virtual egg collecting, and a few moments of wanting to throw my controller, I got ’em all. The rewards were decent, some packs, a special player item, the usual Show stuff. It wasn’t game-changing by any means, but it was a nice little bonus for the effort put in.

Overall, it was a different kind of challenge, which I appreciate. It definitely made me explore parts of the game I don’t always touch or pay close attention to. Some eggs felt clever in how they were hidden, others a bit too random for my liking. But hey, I did it. Task completed. Now, back to the regular Diamond Dynasty grind, I guess!
