Alright, guys, so I’ve been grinding hard on MLB The Show lately, and I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to get those precious Stubs. You know, the in-game currency that lets you buy packs, players, and all that good stuff. I wanna share what I’ve been doing, and maybe it’ll help some of you out too.
Flipping Cards on the Market
First thing I tried, and had some decent success with, was flipping cards in the Community Market. It’s kind of like playing the stock market, but with baseball players.
- Find the bargains: I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through the market, looking for cards that were being sold for less than they were worth. Basically, I was looking for anything with a decent gap between the “Buy Now” and “Sell Now” prices.
- Buy Low, Sell High-Simple concept, but it took some patience. I’d put in buy orders for cards at a low price, and then once I got them, I’d immediately list them for sale at a higher price.
- Rinse and Repeat. I just kept doing this over and over. It’s a bit of a grind, but you can slowly build up your Stub count. Some days were better than others, of course. It’s all about finding the right cards at the right time.
Playing the Game Modes
Besides the market, I’ve also been trying out different game modes to earn stubs.
- Moments: Some of these can be a real pain, but they often give you decent Stub rewards and sometimes even packs.
- Conquest: This mode is a bit time-consuming, but it’s a good way to earn some guaranteed Stubs, XP, and hidden rewards like packs and player cards. I would recommend it to everyone.
- Showdown: I started getting pretty good at completing a few Showdown, that reward you big amount of stubs and program stars.
Completing Programs
One more thing is to check the Programs. Completing the daily moments, and missions can get you a bunch of rewards.
- Daily Moments: I try to do these every day, even though the rewards aren’t huge, they add up over time.
- Team Affinity: I have been focusing on a couple of Team Affinity programs, because those rewards can be pretty sweet, including Stubs and packs.
So yeah, that’s basically my Stub-earning strategy in a nutshell. It’s a mix of playing the market, grinding game modes, and making sure I’m completing those programs.
