Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with MLB The Show 24, and let me tell you, getting those program stars can be a bit of a grind. But I’ve finally figured out a decent system, so I figured I’d share my experience.
First off, I started by diving into the game’s different modes. I mean, there are a bunch of them, right? You’ve got your Mini Seasons, Conquests, and even Online Events. Initially, I was all over the place, trying a bit of everything. Didn’t really have a strategy, just playing whatever I felt like.

- Mini Seasons: These are quick games, good for a fast XP boost.
- Conquests: Kind of like a strategy board game. You play games and take over territories.
- Online Events: Playing against real people. This can be tough, but the rewards are often better.
After a while, I realized I needed to focus my efforts. Just playing randomly wasn’t cutting it. I started looking into the Season 3 XP Reward Path 2 thing. That’s where you really start earning some cool stuff, like those 99 OVR legends – Stan Musial, Pedro Martinez, and Mickey Mantle. But to get them, you need a lot of XP, and for that, you need program stars.
So I began to pay more attention to the “Programs” tab in the main menu. This is where you see what rewards you can get with your program stars. You earn these stars by doing missions, moments, and other random in-game activities.
My strategy became a mix of things. I played a lot of Mini Seasons and Conquests because they seemed to give me the most XP for my time. When I got bored of those, I jumped into some Online Events, just to mix it up. The key was to constantly switch between different programs and modes, depending on what I was feeling at the moment. It’s like, don’t just stick to one thing, or you’ll burn out.
I also noticed that Season 4 is coming up, and it sounds like it’s going to be the end of some kind of restrictions. That’s pretty cool, I guess. I was not sure about the meaning of the “Finest series”, maybe some kind of special cards, but I’m not entirely sure.
Anyway, that’s basically what I’ve been doing. It’s been a lot of trial and error, but I’m finally starting to see some progress. I don’t have those 99 OVR guys yet, but I’m getting there, slowly but surely. It’s all about just playing the game, trying different things, and having fun. And now, I can get those program stars easier. And hopefully, you can too after reading my sharing!
