So, I’ve been messing around with MLB The Show 23 lately, and I gotta say, the crossplay feature is pretty cool. I’ve got friends on all different consoles, and it’s been a blast finally being able to play with all of them. Here’s how I got it all set up.
First, I booted up the game on my PS5. My buddy was on his Xbox Series X, and we were both itching to play. We made sure we both had the game, obviously. You can’t play if you don’t have the game!
- I fired up MLB The Show 23 on my console.
- My friend did the same on his.
Then, I sent him an invite through the game’s menu. It was pretty straightforward, just had to find his username and hit invite. He got the invite on his end, accepted it, and boom, we were in the same game.
We decided to try out a Diamond Dynasty Co-op match. It was awesome, working together against another team online. We played a few games, and it was smooth sailing the whole time. No lag, no disconnects, nothing. It was like we were playing on the same console.
Some thoughts
The whole crossplay thing is a game-changer. It doesn’t matter if you’re on PlayStation, Xbox, or even the Switch, you can all play together. It’s pretty cool that they made it so easy to connect with friends, no matter what console they’re on.
I also tried playing with a buddy who was on PC, and that worked too. It is pretty wild. I just invited him like before, and it worked just fine.
I read somewhere that all the consoles support crossplay for this game, and it seems to be true. They really nailed this feature, I gotta say. It’s super easy to set up, and it just works. If you’ve got MLB The Show 23 and some friends on other consoles, definitely give crossplay a try. It’s a ton of fun.
It’s pretty cool how gaming is evolving. It used to be that you could only play with people on the same system, but now, it doesn’t matter. You can play with anyone, anywhere, as long as they’ve got the game and an internet connection. I’m really digging this crossplay thing, and I can’t wait to see what other games start doing it too.
Anyway, that’s my experience with crossplay in MLB The Show 23. It’s been a blast, and I highly recommend it. It’s super easy to set up, and you don’t have to worry about what console your friends have. Just send them an invite, and you’re good to go. Happy gaming!
