Okay, so I wanted to get better at my boxing, specifically my punching technique. I figured, what better way to track my progress than to actually see how my punches are landing with a pair of boxing gloves, So, I grabbed my gloves and got to work!
Getting Started
First things first, I warmed up. I did some jumping jacks, arm circles, and shadow boxing just to get the blood flowing. I don’t want to pull anything!

The Actual Punching
- I started with some basic jabs. Just throwing straight punches, focusing on extending my arm fully and snapping my wrist at the end.
- Then I moved on to crosses. These felt a bit trickier, I really had to remember to rotate my hips and shoulders to get any power behind them.
- After that, I add some hooks. Short punches.
- Finally,I add some uppercuts. Powerful punches for hit chin.
Feeling the Burn
Man, after just a few rounds of this, my arms were starting to feel like jelly! It’s definitely a good workout, and I could feel myself getting more comfortable with the movements with boxing glove.
Wrap Up
I finished up with some more shadow boxing, just to cool down. Overall, it was a pretty good session! Using the real boxing gloves, I think I’m getting the hang of it. I’ll keep practicing and hopefully see some real improvement soon!
