Okay, so I wanted to track down the Howell High School football roster the other day. Just curious, you know, wanted to see who’s on the team this year.
First thing I did was hop on the computer. Opened up my usual search engine, nothing fancy.

Typed in something simple like “Howell High School football team roster”. Got a bunch of results back, naturally.
I skipped past the general news articles first. I figured the best place would be the school’s own website, right? Looked for a link that seemed like it belonged to the school’s athletics department.
Found one that looked promising. Clicked on it. Landed on their sports page. It was pretty standard stuff, you know, schedules, news, that kind of thing.
Finding the Actual List
Then I had to poke around a bit on their site. Usually, there’s a section like ‘Teams’ or ‘Athletics Programs’.
- I looked for ‘Fall Sports’.
- Then found the ‘Football’ section under that.
- Clicked into the football page itself.
Sometimes they bury the roster link, but this time it wasn’t too bad. Saw a link specifically labeled ‘Roster’ or maybe it was ‘Team Roster’. Clicked that.
And boom, there it was. A list of the players. Usually shows their name, number, maybe their grade or position. Looked like the current season’s list, which was good. Sometimes you find old ones hanging around.
I also noticed some other websites popped up in my initial search, those sites that cover high school sports all over. Sometimes they have the rosters listed too, pulled from somewhere. But I usually trust the school’s own site the most if I can find it.

So yeah, that was pretty much it. Took a few minutes of clicking around, but I found the Howell football roster right there on their athletics site. Mission accomplished.
