Okay, so, today I’m gonna talk about this thing called “dual boxing.” Sounds kinda weird, right? It’s basically playing a game, but get this – you’re controlling two characters at the same time. I know, it blew my mind a little when I first heard about it. I mean, how the heck do you even do that?
So, first, I did some digging. I stumbled upon this really helpful guide by someone named Khatovar. This person has, like, a PHD in this stuff, seriously. They talk about everything – the gear you need, the software, how to set it all up. It’s a bit overwhelming, but hey, if you wanna dive deep, that’s the place to go.

Then I started to think about how I was going to pull this off. I mean, I only have one brain! It turns out, there are different ways to do this dual boxing thing. Some people use multiple computers, which is like, the hardcore way to do it. I don’t have multiple computers lying around, so I opted for the single computer route.
I found this program called “Options Menu Broadcaster,” or OMB for short. The idea is that you set up one computer as the “main” one and the others as, well, not the main ones. You pick “Listen for other OMB connections” on the main computer and “Connect to…” on the others. Then, on the main computer, you gotta accept the connection requests. Easy peasy, right? Well, not quite.
I started by launching the game twice on my computer. Yeah, you can actually do that. It felt a bit like I was breaking the rules, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right? Once I had two game windows open, I used OMB to get one keyboard and mouse to control both. It’s kinda like having a superpower, but a really nerdy one.
Here is how I set it up:
- Download and Install OMB: This one is straightforward.
- Launch Two Instances of the Game: Just double-click that game icon twice.
- Configure OMB: This took a bit of trial and error. I had to mess around with the settings to get it just right.
- Start Playing: This is where the real fun begins.
At first, it was a total mess. My characters were running into walls, attacking the wrong things, it was chaos! But, you know what? I started to get the hang of it. It’s like learning to ride a bike, but way more complicated. The most important thing to learn is how to block, slip, and parry punches effectively. I found this simple routine that combined techniques, strength-building, and cardio.
After a few days of practice, I was actually able to do some basic stuff with both characters at the same time. I even managed to complete a few quests! It’s a really weird feeling, controlling two characters at once. It’s like your brain is split in two, but in a good way. It’s a challenge, for sure, but it’s also a ton of fun.
I’m still not a pro at this or anything, but I’m definitely getting better. It’s like, I can feel my brain getting bigger or something. It is a great challenge and great fun. And hey, if you’re looking for a new way to challenge yourself in a game, maybe give dual boxing a try. Just be prepared for a lot of frustration at first, and remember, you gotta learn to walk before you can run, or in this case, learn to control one character before you can control two.
And, just a final thought, if anyone out there is a dual boxing master, hit me up. I could definitely use some tips!
