So, I was all set to catch the latest episode of WWE NXT the other night, right? I’m a big fan, been following it for a while now. It’s usually on The CW, and I make sure not to miss it. But this time, things got a bit messed up.
I turned on the TV, flipped to The CW, and what do I see? The local news! I’m like, “What’s going on?” I double-checked the schedule, and yeah, NXT was supposed to be on. Turns out, the St. Louis affiliate, KPLR Channel 11, decided to air their local news instead of NXT. Can you believe that?

I did a little digging online, and it seems like I wasn’t the only one who faced this problem. Apparently, this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. Some folks in other areas also had their NXT viewing interrupted because of local sports or other stuff. Some had to wait until late at night to watch the show. It’s such a bummer!
- First off, I checked the TV guide to make sure I wasn’t mistaken.
- Then, I went online to see if anyone else was talking about it.
- Found out that KPLR Channel 11 often prioritizes local news over NXT.
- Read some comments from other frustrated fans in different areas.
I mean, I get that local news is important, but come on! NXT is a big deal for wrestling fans. It’s where we see the up-and-coming stars, the future of WWE. And it’s not just some small show; it’s got a pretty big following. They even made a deal with The CW to broadcast it, which shows how popular it is.
I heard that WWE is trying to get more people to watch NXT on The CW. They even had a big show in Chicago with CM Punk to kick things off. But then this happens in St. Louis, and it’s like two steps forward, one step back. I read somewhere that it was initially planed in The Enterprise, and it has been moved.
It’s not just about the live broadcast either. Even getting the episodes uploaded to the Network seems to be a hassle. I remember reading that it’s supposed to be up within 24 hours, but sometimes it takes over a week! What’s up with that?
My Thoughts
Honestly, it’s pretty frustrating. I just wanted to relax and watch some wrestling, but instead, I had to deal with this whole broadcasting mess. Hopefully, WWE and The CW can sort this out soon. It’s not fair to the fans who are trying to support the show. And it’s a shame because NXT is really good, and more people should be able to see it without these issues.
Anyway, that’s my little rant about the NXT broadcasting drama in St. Louis. Have any of you guys experienced something similar? Let me know in the comments. It’s always good to know I’m not the only one dealing with this stuff.
