Okay, so today I decided to finally figure out this whole “Garden Cup Tennis Scores” thing. I’ve heard about it, seen some stuff online, but never really understood how it all worked. So, I dove in!
First, I started by just poking around online. I mean, where else do you start? I typed in “Garden Cup Tennis Scores” and, well, a lot came up. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. Lots of different websites, some official-looking, some not so much.

I spent a good hour just clicking through different pages. Some had schedules, some had player profiles, and some just had a bunch of numbers that didn’t make much sense to me. I felt like I was swimming in information, but not really getting anywhere.
Then I decided to focus on finding a single, reliable source. I figured that would be the best way to understand the basics. I looked for something that looked official, maybe with a logo or something. I found one site, can’t share the link, but I found it!
I started to dig into that one site. I noticed they had a section for “Recent Matches.” Perfect! I clicked on that and, finally, things started to make a little more sense.
Breaking Down the Scores
I saw a bunch of names I didn’t recognize, but that’s okay. What I focused on were the numbers. They were laid out like this:
- Player A: 6 7 6
- Player B: 4 5 3
I figured out that each of those numbers represented a set. So, in this example, Player A won the match because they won three sets. The numbers themselves, I’m guessing, are the number of games won in each set.
I kept looking at different match results, and the pattern started to become clearer. Most matches seemed to be best-of-three sets, but some were best-of-five. I’m guessing that depends on the specific tournament or round.
I also noticed some scores that looked like this:

- Player C: 6 7(5)
- Player D: 4 6(2)
It has some extra numbers in parentheses. I read that, those are tie-breaker scores. So, if a set goes to 6-6, they play a tie-breaker to decide the winner of the set.
After spending a couple of hours on this, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on how to read the scores. I’m still no expert, but at least I’m not completely lost anymore!I also know that I can find the schedule and some results of the game.
Next time, maybe I’ll try to figure out who some of these players are! It all starts to come together.
