Alright, let’s talk about these big fellas in the basketball, the NBA, you know? The ones that make the ground shake when they walk. They call ’em the heaviest players, I reckon. Like that fella, Boban, bless his heart, he’s a big’un. They say he’s around 290 pounds, maybe more. That’s a lot of meat on one man, I tell ya. Makes me think of my prize-winning hog back in the day, almost as big!

Now, I heard some folks talking about who’s the heaviest *now*, going into the new season. They mentioned this Joel Embiid fella. Don’t know much about him, but they say he’s up there. These youngins, they got all sorts of fancy names and moves, but back in my day, it was just about who could put the ball in the hoop, big or small.
- Big fellas, big game? Sometimes, I wonder if being so big helps in this basketball. Seems like it would slow you down, but these fellas, they move pretty good for their size. Must be all that jumping and running they do. I tried jumping once, years ago, nearly broke my hip! So I stick to watching them youngsters now.
And then there’s this fella, Oliver Miller they called him “The Big O”. He ain’t playing no more, but they say he was the heaviest ever. Started out at 280, they say, and ended up closer to 380! Imagine that! He was like a whole team by himself. Makes me wonder how much he ate. Bet his mama was busy in the kitchen!
You know, it’s funny how things change. Back when I was a young’un, folks weren’t as big as these fellas. Maybe it’s the food they eat now, or the way they train. They got all these special drinks and powders, makes ‘em strong and big, I guess.
But what about the little fellas? You don’t see many small players these days. Seems like everyone’s gotta be tall and heavy to make it in the NBA. It’s a shame, really. Some of the best players I ever seen were the little quick ones. They could run circles around the big fellas. Reminds me of that rooster we had, always outsmarting the bigger chickens.
- Heaviest doesn’t always mean best? I reckon being big ain’t everything, though. You gotta be able to move and think fast too. It’s like that time I tried to catch that greased pig at the county fair. I was bigger than that pig, but it was quicker than a hiccup! Same with basketball, I guess. Big fellas gotta be quick on their feet, too.
So, who’s the heaviest *now*? Well, I don’t rightly know for sure. They keep changing and growing, these boys. But one thing’s for certain, they are some big dudes playing this basketball game. And I enjoy watching them, even if I don’t always understand all the rules and fancy plays. It’s just fun to see ‘em run and jump, and sometimes, they even make me laugh.

It’s like watching a bunch of overgrown kids playing in a big yard, only they get paid a whole lot of money for it. And good for them, I say. If they can make a living throwing a ball around, more power to ‘em. Just hope they don’t hurt themselves, all that running and jumping. And I hope they eat their vegetables, so they stay big and strong.
NBA heavyweights, they’re a sight to see. Makes me think of them big ol’ farm animals we used to have, strong and powerful. These players, they’re like that, but with more skill, I reckon. And they got those fancy shorts and shoes. Back in my day, we just played in whatever we had on, usually overalls or something.
Anyway, that’s what I think about these heavy fellas in the basketball. They’re big, they’re strong, and they’re fun to watch. Just hope they stay healthy and keep on playing. And maybe one day, I’ll get to see one of ‘em in person. That’d be something, wouldn’t it?
So next time you’re watching a basketball game, pay attention to them big fellas. They’re the ones making the ground shake and the hoops rattle. And remember, being big ain’t everything, but it sure helps in this game.
