Okay so this Chicago Bulls rumor stuff, I figured I’d track it myself today. Woke up earlier than usual, grabbed my coffee, and just jumped right in. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
The Big Trade Buzz
First thing, checked my usual spots. My main Bulls fan forum was blowing up. People kept throwing Lavine’s name out like crazy. Kept seeing stuff like “He’s gone for sure!” and “Package Lavine and Caruso!” I kinda skimmed those threads, everyone just yelling mostly. Needed something more solid.

Moved over to Twitter. Big Mistake. Way too many people pretending to know things. Saw one guy claiming Nikola Vucevic getting swapped for a bag of peanuts and a second-round pick. Come on, man! Got myself tangled in that mess for a solid hour, feeling more confused than before I started.
Trying to Find Actual Clues
Finally remembered a couple decent NBA news sites I used to check. Went digging there. One mentioned the Bulls might actually be listening on Caruso offers after all. That stopped me cold. Everyone wants Caruso! If they trade him… wow. Another one said teams are interested in Andre Drummond as a cheap bench booster. Made sense. Solid guy for rebounds.
Tried looking for specifics. How much would Caruso even cost? Rumors flying about maybe a couple first-round picks? Seemed kinda steep for a role player. Then again, he’s a beast defensively. Started jotting down notes about what teams needed defenders and had picks. Was feeling like a detective now.
Filtering the Noise
Kept getting distracted by the huge names. Saw some wild stuff online:
- “Bulls making a play for Kevin Durant!” (Yeah, right.)
- “Donovan Mitchell to Chicago heating up!” (Pure fantasy land.)
- “Zion Williamson trade talks!” (Please stop.)
Had to shut those down fast. Focused back on the possible stuff. Vuc’s contract? Huge, tough to move. Patrick Williams? Young guy, maybe teams are curious? Lonzo Ball? Sad reality is he might not be part of any trade, health’s too shaky. Felt pretty bad thinking about that.
Putting the Pieces Together
Made a little list in my head:
- Caruso = Seriously popular. If traded, big news incoming.
- Drummond = Good value pickup for a contender.
- Lavine = Big name, big contract. Needs the right offer.
- Williams = Mystery box. Teams love potential.
Figured the Bulls will likely do something smaller first. Shipping out Drummond or maybe a bench piece like Torrey Craig feels more real. The big Lavine deal? That’s gonna drag on.

Waiting Game Sucks
Honestly, spent the whole afternoon flipping between Twitter, the forums, and a couple sites. Kept hitting refresh on the Bulls beat writer pages. Nothing new popped. Felt like I wasted way too much time looking for crumbs. That trade rumor grind is exhausting!
My gut feeling? No monster trade tonight. Maybe a whisper about Drummond getting shopped harder. Or some low-key teams checking in on Caruso. But the big splash? Nah, that’s gonna stew for a while longer. Ended the day feeling like I chased ghosts mostly. Should’ve just waited for Shams or Woj to tweet. Lesson learned… probably not, though. Will likely do it again tomorrow.
