Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out this boxing thing in Milton. I’d been feeling a bit sluggish and wanted to try something new, something that would really get me moving. I did a quick search online and found a few places, but OBFT Boxing & Fitness and DK Boxing and Fitness caught my eye. They seemed pretty popular from what I read on Yelp. I’ve never boxed before, so this was all new to me. I found Milton Muay Thai Boxing Academy, which sounded intense, and F45 Training, but I wasn’t sure if those were what I was looking for.
I ended up going with OBFT because it seemed like a good place for beginners. I called them up, and the guy on the phone was super helpful. He explained that their workouts are non-contact and under 45 minutes, which sounded perfect for a newbie like me. Plus, he mentioned that I’d be learning from an expert. I thought, “Why not?” and signed up for a trial session.

- First, I had to fill out some forms and waivers.
- Then, they gave me a quick tour of the place. It’s huge, like 10,000 square feet, with tons of heavy bags and a boxing ring. They even have a weight room, which I might check out later.
- Next, I met the coach, who showed me the basics. He taught me how to stand, how to throw a jab, a cross, and a hook. It was a bit awkward at first, but he was patient and encouraging.
After the basic instruction, we started the workout. We did some warm-up exercises, like jumping jacks and shadow boxing, to get the blood flowing. Then, we moved on to hitting the heavy bags. Let me tell you, hitting those bags is a real workout! I was sweating buckets after just a few minutes. The coach kept pushing me, but in a good way. He corrected my form and made sure I was doing everything right. He said something like, “Boxing will help you to understand your strength.” I think he’s right.
The End
By the end of the session, I was exhausted but felt amazing. It was such a great feeling to let out all that energy. I definitely felt like I had accomplished something. I’m thinking of signing up for more classes. I might even try out DK Boxing and Fitness or some of the other places I found, like Kombat Arts Training Academy or Valhalla MMA, just to see what they’re like. But for now, I’m pretty happy with OBFT. It’s a great way to get in shape and learn something new. I feel better than ever before. So, yeah, that was my first boxing experience in Milton. It was tough but totally worth it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good workout and a fun way to challenge themselves.
