Okay, so I saw this cool thing online about making golf balls look like Pokeballs, and I just had to try it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to yell “I choose you!” before teeing off?
Getting Started
First things first, I needed supplies. I’m no artist, so I kept it simple:

- Golf balls: Obviously. I grabbed a few old ones from the garage.
- Red and Black paint:Got some acrylic craft paint for durable.
- White paint: It is for center circle of pokeball.
- Thin paintbrushes: For the small datails.
- A cup: For my support.
The Painting Process
I put the golf ball in the cup for easy painting.
So, the basic idea is to paint half the golf ball red and leave the other half white. Sounds easy, right? Well, it kinda was, kinda wasn’t.
I started by painting the red half. I did a couple of coats to make sure the color was nice and solid. Acrylic paint dries pretty fast, so that was a plus.I wait it and dry completely.
The trickiest part, at least for me, was getting a clean line between the red and white. I’m not the most, uh, coordinated person, so my line was a little wobbly at first. But, I just took my time and carefully touched it up until it looked decent.
Next, I used the black paint to draw a thick line around the middle, separating the red and white halves. Again, steady hands are key here! I let that dry completely before moving on.

Finally, the finishing touch: the little white circle in the center. I dabbed a bit of white paint onto the black line and, with a little bit, it started to look like a real Pokeball!
The Finished Product
I gotta say, I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out! They’re not perfect, but they definitely look like Pokeballs. Now, I’m just itching to get out on the course and try them out. I can already picture the looks on my friends’ faces when I pull one of these out of my bag. “Go, Golf ball! I need a birdie!”
It is all for fun.
