Alright, so I wanted to beef up my Diamond Dynasty squad in MLB The Show 24, and I was like, “Where do I even start?” I mean, there are so many players, it’s kinda nuts.
My Grind to Get the Best
First thing I did? I jumped into a bunch of different modes. You gotta play to get the good stuff, right? So I started knocking out some Conquest maps. They’re a bit of a grind, but you get packs and XP just for conquering territories. Not gonna lie, it felt like I was playing Risk sometimes, but hey, free stuff!

Then, I spent some time in Mini Seasons. These are shorter games, which is great when you don’t have a ton of time to sit down for a full nine innings. Plus, you get rewards for winning the “championship,” so it’s a good way to boost your team without spending hours and hours.
- Conquest: Conquer territories, get packs. Simple as that.
- Mini Seasons: Shorter games, quicker rewards. Win the championship!
- Moments: Relive some cool baseball moments and get rewards for completing them.
- Showdown: I am not good at showdown, I failed a lot.
I also messed around with Moments. They’re these little challenges where you replay famous baseball moments. Some of them are easy, some are…well, let’s just say I learned a few new curse words. But, you get rewards for completing them, so it’s worth trying, even if you fail. A LOT. Like me. In Showdown. I’m not good at Showdown.
Honestly, I found that just playing the game and mixing up the modes was the best way to figure out who the best players are for my team. One player I got super early on was the Future Stars, and I put him straight to my lineup. Then I kept playing and earned more players and kept doing that process, and it went great!
It took a bit of time, but I managed to build a pretty solid Diamond Dynasty team. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and I had a blast putting it together.
