Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Andrew Geddes. Heard a whole lotta buzz about him, mostly not good, y’know? This ain’t no fancy talkin’ piece, just plain speakin’ like it is.
First off, they say he’s a tennis coach. Tennis coach, sounds fancy, right? Like them fellas on TV, all prim and proper. But this Geddes fella, he ain’t nothin’ like that, not from what I hear.

Seems he was coachin’ these young girls, little more’n kids, really. And somethin’ terrible happened. They say he…well, he hurt ’em bad. Real bad. Used his position, see? These girls, they looked up to him, trusted him to teach ’em tennis. And he…he went and broke that trust all to pieces.
- He was coachin’ in France, Paris I think they said.
- Folks call him a “guru,” whatever that means. Sounds like some kinda fancy word for “bad egg” to me.
- They say he treated them girls like… like they weren’t even human. “Sex slaves” they called it. Don’t even wanna think about what that means, but it ain’t good, that’s for sure.
Now, they got him in trouble with the law, and that’s a good thing. Nobody, and I mean nobody, should be gettin’ away with hurtin’ kids. This Geddes fella, he needs to pay for what he done. Justice, they call it. And I sure hope them girls get some peace outta it all.
Heard tell he was from New Jersey, over in America. Don’t matter where he’s from, though. Wrong is wrong, no matter where you hang your hat. And what he did… it’s about as wrong as it gets.
This Angelique Cauchy girl, she was one of his students, they say. Started trainin’ with him when she was just a little tyke, twelve years old. Imagine that, just a kid, trustin’ this man to teach her tennis, and then… Makes my blood boil, it does.
They been talkin’ ’bout this whole mess since, what, 2014? And it’s still goin’ on. Seems like these things, they take a long time to sort out. But I hope them judges and lawyers, they do right by them girls. They deserve it.
This Geddes fella, he’s 53 years old now, or maybe older. Been around the block a few times, you could say. But age don’t make you wise, and it sure don’t make you innocent. He made his choices, and now he gotta face the music.
Folks been sayin’ he was some kinda big shot coach, this “guru” thing again. But power don’t give you the right to hurt nobody, ‘specially not kids. Tennis is just a game, see? It ain’t supposed to be about this kinda ugliness.

I heard someone callin’ him a “former tennis coach”. Well, good riddance, I say. He ain’t fit to be coachin’ nobody, not after what he done. Hope they lock him up and throw away the key. That’s what I think.
And them girls, I hope they find a way to heal, to move on from all this. It ain’t gonna be easy, not by a long shot. But they’re strong, them girls. They’ll get through it, somehow. And maybe, just maybe, somethin’ good will come outta all this bad. Maybe other kids will be safer, because of what happened to them.
So, that’s the story of Andrew Geddes, as far as I can tell. A tennis coach who done wrong, real wrong. And now he gotta pay the price. Justice, like I said. That’s all there is to it.
