Alright so today I wanted to see how Cashmere High’s football team is actually doing this season. Heard some folks talking down at the grocery store, figured I’d get the real scoop myself. Grabbed my phone right there in the cereal aisle.
The Frustrating Search Starts
First thing I did? Pulled up that big search engine we all use. Typed in “Cashmere High football standings” like anybody would. Boom, pages of stuff, but man, none of it was what I needed. Mostly old articles from like 2020, some stuff about ticket sales, even a thing about their marching band schedule. Seriously? Just needed the damn win-loss record!

Tried adding “2023 season” and “current” to the search. No luck. Got annoyed sitting in my truck outside the store. Almost gave up. Figured maybe the school site itself would have it. Found their athletics page after clicking around forever. Saw schedules, rosters, even booster club info… but no clear league standings listed.
Finding the Right Source (Finally)
Remembered this local news site that covers high school sports around here. Scrolled through my bookmarks and found it. Opened it up. Section was clearly labeled “Fall Sports.” Clicked football. Saw the conference name – “Caribou Trail League” popped up. Looked for the teams listed:
- Cashmere Bulldogs (that’s them!)
- Okanogan
- Cascade
- Omak
- Tonasket
And there it was! Right under the conference header. A simple table. Felt like I’d discovered gold after digging in the mud.
Seeing the Actual Numbers
Leaned closer to the screen squinting. Scanned across the row next to “Cashmere.” Saw the wins and losses tallied up like this:
- Conference Wins: 3
- Conference Losses: 1
- Overall Wins: 5
- Overall Losses: 2
That league record! Five wins already? That’s solid. Looked at the other teams listed right below. Saw they’re sitting second in the Caribou Trail right now, just behind Okanogan who’s perfect in conference play so far. Makes sense why folks were talking. Team’s pushing for the top spot.
Them Bulldogs are fighting hard this fall. Whole thing – the frustrating search, finding the obscure local site, finally seeing those numbers – took maybe twenty minutes in my truck. Worth it to see they’re holding strong near the top. Gotta cheer for the home team, right?
