Alright, so lemme tell you about this egg hunt in MLB The Show 24. It was kinda wild, a real grind, but I got through it. Here’s how it all went down.
First off, I saw some chatter online about these hidden “eggs” in the game that unlock some sweet rewards. Sounded interesting, so I figured, “Why not?” and jumped right in.
Finding the First Egg: Mini Seasons Madness
The first one I hunted down was in Mini Seasons. I played a whole bunch of games, kept my eyes peeled in the stadiums, and finally, bam! There it was, hiding behind the batter’s eye wall. I hit it with a batted ball, and it popped! Easy peasy, right? Well, kinda. It took me like, 10 games before I actually found it. Keep your eyes open and hit everything!
Egg Number Two: Conquest Conqueror
Next up was Conquest. This one was a bit trickier. I had to play through a whole map, and the egg was hidden in one of the strongholds. I think it was the AL East map. I remember attacking every single stronghold, reinforcing my territories, the whole nine yards. And then, BOOM! After conquering, I saw it! I got the notification that I found the egg, I think after completing the map entirely. A bit time-consuming, but worth it for the reward.
The Showdown Struggle: Egg Three
Okay, Showdown… this one almost made me rage quit. I’m not the best at Showdown to begin with, so having to hunt for an egg while also trying to beat the damn thing was stressful. I failed a couple times before I finally pulled it off. The egg was visible right at the very start of one of the challenges. It was a pain to get to, but once I did, finally I beat the whole thing and got the egg reward. I’m never playing showdown again.
Egg Four: Moments Mayhem
The Moments egg was a relief after that Showdown nightmare. I just had to play through some specific Moments challenges and one of them had the egg in the background. A pretty easy find and didn’t take too long, which was perfect after struggling with Showdown for what felt like forever.
Final Egg: Diamond Dynasty Collections Grind
Last but not least, I had to do some collection in Diamond Dynasty. I had to collect some team affinity cards, and as I was collecting, eventually I completed the criteria to get the egg! It was just a matter of buying the cards I needed off the marketplace. Took some Stubs (in game currency), but it was the final egg, so whatever!
The Rewards
So after all that, what did I get? I got a few Diamond Dynasty packs which gave me some decent players to add to my lineup. Also, some XP to level up! Was it worth the grind? Eh, maybe. But hey, at least I can say I did it! It was more about the challenge of finding those eggs and getting something out of it. Now I’m back to just playing regular games and trying to get better.
