Alright, so let me tell you about this Vision of Confluence. Been chasing a decent roll on this thing for what feels like forever. You know how it is, running that same old raid, Vault of Glass, week in, week out. My buddies, bless ’em, they were patient. Mostly.
I swear, for a while there, I thought the game just hated me. Every time that scout rifle dropped, it was like a cosmic joke. Perks that made no sense together. Got one with Adagio and Tunnel Vision. Like, what am I even supposed to do with that? Slow fire rate and then a buff when I’m already aiming down sights after a kill? Just felt clunky. Another one had Heating Up and Unrelenting. Not terrible, but not what you want, you know? Just… meh.

So, there we were, another clear. We beat Atheon, loot drops, and another Vision of Confluence pops up. I almost didn’t even check it. Figured it’d be another one for the shard pile. But I hovered over it, and then I actually looked. And then I looked again. Hold on a minute.
The Perks That Made Me Weep (Tears of Joy, Mostly)
This thing was different. It actually looked… good? Here’s what it rolled with:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Tactical Mag
- Rewind Rounds
- Firefly
Now, let me tell you why this got me excited. Arrowhead Brake, that just makes the recoil super manageable. The gun barely kicks, just stays on target. Then Tactical Mag, that’s more bullets in the magazine and a faster reload. Always good, right? Fewer times you’re caught with your pants down reloading.
But the real magic? Rewind Rounds. You hit your shots, and bullets just sort of… reappear in your magazine. It’s not unlimited, but man, you can keep shooting for a surprisingly long time without reloading, especially on bigger targets. And then, Firefly. Oh, sweet Firefly. Get a precision kill, and the enemy explodes, damaging other stuff around it. Plus, it reloads the weapon faster. It’s just chef’s kiss.
Taking it for a Spin
So, of course, the first thing I did was take it out for a proper test. Loaded into a strike, some regular playlist thing. And boy, oh boy. It felt amazing. Popping Cabal heads, little explosions going off everywhere. With Rewind Rounds, I was just laying into a Champion, and I swear I barely had to reload. The stability from Arrowhead meant all my shots were landing, which kept Rewind Rounds going, and Firefly was just clearing out all the little ads that dared to get close. It was beautiful, man.
I even took it into some patrols, just plinking away. It’s just a solid, reliable workhorse now. Before, Vision of Confluence was just another gun taking up vault space, or an instant dismantle. Now? This one’s a keeper. It’s not gonna break the game or anything, but it just feels right. The grind was a pain, no doubt about it. So many runs, so much disappointment. But when you finally get that roll you’ve been hunting for, yeah, it feels pretty good. Makes all those hours feel a little less wasted.
It’s funny, you spend all this time chasing something, and then when you get it, you almost don’t know what to do next. Guess I’ll have to find a new gun to obsess over. But for now, this Vision of Confluence is definitely seeing some action.
