Okay, so I’ve been wanting to play Golf With Your Friends with my buddies for a while now. The problem? We all have different systems. I’m on PC, my friend Jake’s got a Switch, and Maria is rocking a PlayStation. So, I was like, “Is this even gonna work? Is Golf With Your Friends cross platform?”
I started digging around, doing some serious Googling. I mean, who wants to buy a game and then find out they can’t even play with their friends? Not me!

My Research Journey
First, I just hit up the usual spots – forums, game websites, you know the drill. I saw a lot of mixed messages. Some folks said, “Yeah, it’s totally cross-platform!” Others were like, “Nope, you’re stuck playing with people on the same system.” Talk about confusing!
Then, I decided to go straight to the source. I looked for developer information, like, official statements. I found some posts and stuff, but, still not fully cleared for me.
Testing It Out (My Experiment!)
So here’s what I did. I already owned the game on my PC, so I got Jake to download it on his Switch. We figured we’d just try it and see what happened. Low and behold.
- I created the room via my PC version of the game.
and send invitation code to Jake(Nintendo Switch) - Jake entered the code and joined my room.
Success! - I do not own Playstation or Xbox so I can’t test with Maria, but based on what I tested and read online, it seems like PC, Switch, Xbox, all good! playstation… well, that’s a different story I can’t confirm.
Yep, total success! I joined the game with PC, and the Nintendo Switch worked perfectly.
It seems that playing across PC, Xbox, and Switch… you are good to go. Playstation, though? That’s a different story. I’m not 100% sure, but from my searching, it’s not looking good for cross-play with PlayStation. I’ll update the post if the situation change.
