Okay, so today I was trying to solve this crossword, and one clue really stumped me: “NBA and WNBA.” I was like, “What could it be?” I mean, I know both are basketball leagues, but what word connects them?
First, I brainstormed obvious stuff. “Basketball,” “sports,” “teams”… nothing fit the number of spaces in the puzzle. Then I thought about famous players, commissioners, anything unique to those leagues. Still no luck.
I even tried looking online for lists of basketball terms, hoping something would jump out. I scrolled through pages of jargon, feeling totally lost. It was frustrating!
Then, I decided to take a break. Sometimes you just need to step away, right? I made some coffee, walked around a bit, and when I came back, I focused on the letters I did have filled in from other clues.

And that’s when it hit me! the provided Letters that i already had, fit to word “LEAGUES”. A simple word, “LEAGUES”! It was so obvious in hindsight. NBA and WNBA! Both are basketball leagues!
