Alright, so I wanted to crank up my NBA 2K15 experience, specifically messing with the tunedata to get that sweet 99 rating. Here’s how I went about it, from start to finish.
First, I fired up the game. You know, just the usual start-up. Got to the main menu, all that jazz.

Then, I needed to find where the heck the tunedata files were stored. I knew it probably wasn’t going to be somewhere obvious, so I did a little digging.
I opened up my File Explorer (that’s what we call it, right?) and started poking around the game’s installation folders. It felt like searching for buried treasure, but instead of gold, it was player ratings.
I am not going to tell you where I find, Because I find them after a long time!.
I backed up the original files. Seriously, always back up! You don’t wanna mess things up and have to reinstall the whole game. Just copied them to a safe folder on my desktop, labeled it “2K15 Tunedata Backup – DO NOT TOUCH.”
Now for the fun part. I opened up the tunedata file I wanted to tweak with a text editor. Notepad works, but I prefer something a bit fancier, like Notepad++. Makes it easier to read all those lines of code-ish stuff.
Once I had the file open, it was time to hunt down the player attributes. It’s all just numbers, right? So I scrolled through, looking for things like “shooting,” “dribbling,” “defense,” all that good stuff. It took a little while, because there’s a LOT of data in there.
After I found the attributes I wanted to change, I just went in and started typing. Changed those 70s, 80s, whatever they were, straight to 99. Because who doesn’t want to be a god on the court?

Then Save!
Finally, I launched the game again, loaded up my career or whatever mode I was playing, and BAM! My player was a beast. Dunks from half-court, steals every possession, it was glorious, pure cheese.
So yeah, that’s how I did it. It’s not rocket science, just a little bit of file exploring and some number tweaking. Just remember to back up your files, and have fun dominating the virtual court!
