Okay, so the other day I was digging through some old boxes in my attic, and guess what I found? My replica of the 2011 NBA Championship ring! Man, that brought back some memories. I totally forgot I even had this thing!
I remember when I got it. I was so pumped about the Dallas Mavericks winning that year. I think it was 2011, because I watched the game with my roommate at that time.

I searched everywhere online. Finally, I found this one website that was selling replicas. It wasn’t super cheap, I think, but it looked pretty decent in the pictures, so I went for it.
The Wait
Waiting for it to arrive was torture! I checked the tracking number like every five minutes. It felt like it took forever, probably like two weeks or something. I guess that’s normal, but I was just so impatient.
Unboxing Day
Finally, the day came! The package arrived, and I ripped that thing open like a kid on Christmas morning. The ring was in this little velvet box, all snug and secure. I pulled it out, and wow, it was heavier than I expected! It had some serious weight to it, which made it feel more, I don’t know, authentic, I guess.
The Bling Factor
The ring itself is pretty flashy. It’s got this gold-ish finish, and there are tons of these little fake diamonds all over it. They sparkle like crazy when the light hits them. It’s definitely not subtle, but hey, it’s a championship ring! It’s supposed to be over the top.
Showing it Off
- I wore it around the house for a few days, just because I could.
- I even wore it to the grocery store once, and I swear the cashier gave me a funny look.
- I also took a bunch of pictures of it and sent them to my buddies. They were all pretty jealous, haha.
Back in the Box
After the initial excitement wore off, I put the ring back in its box. It’s not something I’d wear every day, obviously. It’s more of a keepsake, a reminder of that awesome Mavericks championship run. Finding it again in the attic was like rediscovering a little piece of my sports fan history. It’s definitely going back in the box, but this time, I’ll make sure it’s not hidden away for years!
