Today, I wanted to try something new, so I picked up my tennis racket and headed to the court. It’s called “Shuo Feng Tennis” and it has been ages since I last played. Honestly, I was a little nervous at first because I didn’t even know if I still remembered how to hold the racket properly.
When I got there, I saw a couple of guys already playing, and they looked like they knew what they were doing. I stood at the side for a bit, just watching them and trying to remember the basics. After a while, I took a deep breath and walked onto an empty court.
I started by just hitting the ball against the wall. The first few hits were pretty bad. The ball went everywhere, sometimes not even hitting the wall. But I kept at it, trying to get a feel for the racket and the ball again. It was tough, and my arm started to get tired pretty quickly.
After a while, I felt a little more comfortable, so I decided to practice my serve. This was even harder. I tossed the ball up and tried to hit it over the net, but most of the time, it either hit the net or went way out of bounds. I must have tried at least a hundred times, and only a few serves actually made it over.
- First attempt at serving: Ball hit the net.
- Second attempt: Ball went out of bounds.
- Third attempt: Finally, a decent serve!
Even though it was frustrating, I kept practicing. I remembered how much I used to enjoy playing tennis, and I wanted to get back to that level. I spent about two hours on the court, just hitting the ball, practicing my serve, and trying to get back into the groove.
Feeling Good at the End
By the time I left, I was exhausted but also felt pretty good. I realized that even though I was rusty, I still had some muscle memory left. It was fun to just be out there, hitting the ball and enjoying the fresh air. It definitely made my day better, and I decided I’d come back and practice more often. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about enjoying the process and having a good time.
So, that was my “Shuo Feng Tennis” adventure for today. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. I’m looking forward to my next tennis session already!
