Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Marvin Ridge football thing for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s been a ride. Here’s how it all went down.
First, I tried to get some info on who’s who in the coaching staff. I found out this guy, Aubrey Carter, is the football coach. His email is *@ucps.*, by the way. It took me sometime to find out.
Then, I moved on to looking into the games. They’ve got this big event called the “UCPS Championship Night.” Turns out, both the semi-finals and the championship game were held at Mavericks Stadium. I think it was on a Wednesday. Sounds important.

Next, I dug into the whole Marvin Ridge Middle School setup. They’ve got an app, the “MR Mavericks Athletics App.” You can use it to follow their teams. They’ve also got a phone number: 704-965-6272. Oh, and they’re all about being the “2x Defending NCHSAA Wells Fargo 4A State Cup Champions.”
I also stumbled upon something about them speaking different languages, like French and Vietnamese. It was weird but cool.
They seem really proud of their school, especially the faculty and staff who welcomed everyone back in August 2019. That’s all I’ve got for now. It’s been a journey, but I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on this Marvin Ridge football thing. I will write down more when I get new ideas.
