Okay, so, I’ve been following the whole Big E situation for a while now. It all started way back in March 2022. I was watching SmackDown, just a regular Friday night, and then it happened. Big E took that suplex from Ridge Holland, and it looked nasty. Turns out, he fractured his neck, not in one, but in three places. Man, I felt for the guy. His C1 and C6 vertebrae were fractured. That’s some serious stuff.
I kept checking for updates, hoping to hear some good news. I mean, Big E is such a powerhouse, a former WWE Champion, and just an all-around great dude. You don’t want to see anyone go through something like that. Time went on, and there wasn’t much news. I saw him pop up on The New Day’s 10-year anniversary celebration on December 2, 2024. That was cool to see, but it wasn’t the in-ring return I was hoping for.

Then, I stumbled upon this interview he did on “The Mike Broomhead Show.” He said he still hadn’t been cleared to return. Two and a half years, and he’s still not cleared! But, he also said he feels great, no issues, which is a relief. Still, it’s gotta be tough, not knowing when or if you’ll be able to do what you love again.
I also saw this bit where he was asked about competing at WrestleMania 41 in 2025. He didn’t give a direct answer, of course. It’s all up in the air. But imagine the pop if he did make a comeback then! The crowd would go wild.
- Followed wrestling news sites: I kept an eye on all the major wrestling news outlets. They usually post updates on injuries and returns.
- Checked social media: Wrestlers often post updates on their own social media accounts. I followed Big E and other WWE stars to see if anything new popped up.
- Watched WWE shows: Even though Big E wasn’t wrestling, I still watched the shows. You never know when they might mention him or drop a hint about his return.
- Read interviews: Whenever Big E did an interview, I made sure to read it. That’s where I got most of the info about his recovery.
Here’s what I did to keep up with the news:
So, that’s where we’re at. Big E is still on the sidelines, but he’s staying positive. I’m still hoping for that big return. Fingers crossed that we see him back in the ring soon, doing what he does best.
