Man, let me tell you about this whole “quad boxing” thing I got into. So, I heard about this sport, some kind of ball game, sounds cool, right? I mean, I’ve dabbled in boxing before and always thought it was a great workout. But this was something new, some kind of team sport, maybe? I saw something about hundreds of teams playing it, which got me curious.
First, I started digging around to see what this was all about. I found some stuff about it being called “Quadball,” and it’s all about community and including everyone. I mean, I’m not a pro athlete or anything, but I do like a good sweat and meeting new people.

I figured I should probably brush up on my boxing skills first. Even though it was a ball game. You know, just in case. No hooks, though, learned that the hard way. I went through some basic training stuff, focusing on the fundamentals. Footwork, jabs, crosses, you know, the usual drills. I wasn’t trying to become a heavyweight champ or anything, just wanted to get the hang of it again.
Then came the interesting part. I wanted to see if I could combine this “Quadball” idea with boxing. I thought maybe I could level up like in video games. I pictured myself like a wizard, but instead of magic, I’d be throwing punches. Dual boxing, yeah, that’s what I called it. I started experimenting with how I could use boxing techniques in a team sport setting. Like, using feints to fake out opponents and create openings for my teammates, or using quick footwork to get into position for a pass. It was all pretty experimental.
- Tried practicing with some friends.
- Realized it was harder than it looked.
- Kept at it, though, because it was fun.
Honestly, it was a lot of trial and error. We tried playing with a ball, but it got really messy. I quickly realized I need to get creative. So I set up some drills, like one where you have to use boxing moves to get past defenders and score. It wasn’t exactly “Quadball,” more like a weird hybrid thing, but we had a blast figuring it all out.
The Result
In the end, I didn’t become some Quadball superstar or anything. But I did learn a lot about teamwork, got a good workout, and had a ton of fun messing around with this crazy idea. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but hey, it was a fun experience for me. It’s a whole lot of fun, and I think I’m onto something here. Maybe I’ll even start a team someday. Who knows?
