Okay, so yesterday, I wanted to jump into some NBA 2K24. I was super pumped to get some games in, maybe try out some new players I’d been eyeing. I fired up my console, launched the game, and bam! Hit with an error message.
It was something like “4b538e50”. I was like, “What the heck is that?” I just wanted to play some ball, man! I tried it a few more times and got the same error. No luck.

So, I did what anyone would do. I pulled out my phone and started poking around the internet. I figured there had to be a way to check if the NBA 2K24 servers were down or something. I mean, it’s 2024, right? There’s gotta be a website for that.
- I started checking a few different pages and forums where people usually talk about this stuff.
- Then, I remembered that there’s gotta be an official page, you know, like a status page, where they tell you if things are messed up on their end.
- I found the one, the main page that just tells you if things are good or not.
So I went there and sure enough, it said that things were down. Bummer. At least I knew it wasn’t just me, you know? It wasn’t my internet or my console acting up.
Checked the Status
I checked the official NBA 2K24 status page. It was pretty straightforward. It showed that the servers were down. It is the best spot to see if things are messed up with the game.
After finding out the servers were down, I just decided to wait it out. I did some other stuff, chilled for a bit, and then checked back later. Eventually, the status page updated and said everything was back online.
Finally, I could get back to playing! It was a bit of a hassle, but hey, at least I figured it out. Now I know where to check if I ever run into that 4b538e50 error again.
