Hey folks, it’s Monday again. So, I got into this “Ji Hyun Suh golf” thing. Yeah, golf, that game where you hit a small ball with a club. My grandpa used to play it all the time, God bless him.
I started by digging up what I could find about this Ji Hyun Suh. Turns out, she’s not just any golfer – she’s a former LPGA player from South Korea. Played way back in the ’90s, I think.

First, I watched a bunch of old videos of her playing. It wasn’t easy to find much, to be honest. Most of the stuff online is about her son, Kris Kim, who’s also a golfer. But I managed to find some clips of her swing. Smooth as butter, let me tell you.
Then, I tried to copy her style. I grabbed my clubs – dusty, I know – and headed to the driving range. Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty. I whiffed a few, shanked a couple, and sliced more than a few into the next county.
- I started by trying to mimic her stance. Wide, solid base – got it.
- Then I worked on her backswing. Slow and controlled, not like my usual rushed hack.
- The downswing was the tricky part. She comes through the ball so smoothly, it’s like she’s not even trying. I, on the other hand, looked like I was fighting a swarm of bees.
After a few buckets of balls and a whole lot of frustration, I started to get the hang of it. Not saying I was good, but I was hitting them a bit straighter, a bit further. Felt good, you know?
I even downloaded one of those fancy golf swing analyzer apps. You know, the ones that tell you everything you’re doing wrong? Yeah, it was brutal. But hey, it’s data, right? Supposed to help you improve.
I spent a few more days practicing, focusing on what I learned from watching Ji Hyun Suh and from the app. It’s a slow process, but I feel like I’m making progress. At least I’m not embarrassing myself as much at the driving range.
Conclusion?
This Ji Hyun Suh golf thing? It’s tough. But it’s also kind of fun. And I think I’m actually learning something. Maybe I won’t be the next Kris Kim, but hey, at least I can say I tried, right?
Anyway, that’s my little golfing adventure for now. I might give it another go next week. We’ll see. Stay tuned, folks!
