Okay, so today I was looking at the LA Times crossword, and there’s this clue that had me scratching my head: “NBA logo 3 paths.” I’m not the biggest sports guy, but I do like a good puzzle, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First thing I did was check what other people were saying. Turns out, a lot of folks were also looking for the answer to this one! There’s this site, “The Crossword Solver”, that had a bunch of answers, like 30 of them. That seemed like a lot, but it is a crossword puzzle after all.
After looking around some more, I saw that the most common answer was ARCS. It made sense, right? Thinking about the NBA logo, you’ve got that basketball, and there are definitely some curved lines, or arcs, on it. The date on one of the answers was September 16, 2024, and that makes sense since the latest LA Times puzzle I found online is from that date.
I also found some other sites that had the same answer. One even mentioned “Jerry West,” who I think is the guy in the NBA logo. I saw a few that were saying the crossword clue had 40 possible answers. 40! But almost all the sites I found had the answer as ARCS.

- Some sites said 40 possible answers, others said 30. Most of them still pointed to ARCS.
So, I decided to go with ARCS. I mean, it fit the clue, and it seemed to be the answer everyone else was coming up with. Plus, I looked at the NBA logo again, and yeah, those lines definitely look like arcs to me.
Honestly, it was kind of fun digging into this. I learned a little about crossword puzzles and even a tiny bit about the NBA. Who knew? I might even try another crossword tomorrow. It’s like a little brain workout, you know?
It is interesting how sometimes these puzzles can lead you down a rabbit hole of information. I started out just trying to solve a crossword clue, and I ended up learning about Jerry West and a lot of other things. It’s kind of cool how that works.
