Okay, so, I’ve been trying to figure out how to catch all the MLB games without cable. It’s a bit of a headache, you know? I started by looking around online, just browsing forums and stuff, to see what other people are doing.
I found out that some folks are using these things called IPTV services. Apparently, they can get you access to a ton of channels, including sports. Seemed a little too good to be true, so I dug a bit deeper. Then, someone mentioned that the first week of * is free. That sounded like a good place to start, so I made a note of that.

While searching, I also saw a lot of people talking about different streaming services like Hulu, YouTube TV, and DirectTV Stream. They all have their pros and cons, but it looked like they could be decent options for watching live games and also catching up on stuff I missed.
Trial and Error
- Tried the free trial first.
- Signed up, easy peasy, just needed an account.
- Watched some free games, which was cool.
But the free trial is only for a week, right? So, I had to explore further. I checked out Hulu, and it seemed pretty good. They have a lot of live sports and a big on-demand library, so that’s a plus.
Decision Time
After weighing all the options, I felt like I needed a service that covered all the bases, so to speak. I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t miss any playoff games, no matter which channel they were on. Turns out, a few of these services offer all the networks that show the playoffs. That’s a relief!
Then I found another service called Sling TV. A lot of people are saying it’s good for folks who don’t want to spend a ton of money, and you can still watch a lot of the national games. I don’t really care for the out-of-market games anyway.
Wrapping Up
Basically, I learned that there are a bunch of ways to watch MLB games without cable. You can try the * free trial, or go with a streaming service like Hulu, YouTube TV, DirectTV Stream, or Sling TV. It all depends on what you’re looking for and how much you want to spend. It took some trial and error, but I think I’ve got a good setup now. Hopefully, this helps someone else who’s in the same boat.
