Alright, let’s talk about this NBA owner thing, you know, the folks who own the basketball teams. I heard some people talking, saying stuff about how many of them are, well, you know… Jewish. So, I poked around a bit, asked some folks, and here’s what I gathered.

Now, I ain’t no fancy pants expert or nothin’. I just hear things and try to make sense of them. From what I can tell, there’s a fair number of Jewish owners in the NBA. Don’t ask me exactly how many, ’cause counting ain’t my strong suit. But it seems like enough for folks to be yapping about it.
Who are these owners, you ask? Well, I got a few names for ya. Heard of the Atlanta Hawks? Apparently, some fella named Tony Ressler is one of the big shots there, him and another guy, Grant Hill. Then there’s the Boston Celtics. A fella named Wyc Grousbeck is the main man there, or so they say.
Over in Brooklyn, there’s this Joe Tsai guy owning the Nets. Now, whether all these fellas are Jewish or not, I can’t say for sure. But their names sound kinda… you know… different. Like the kind of names you hear in those big city places. And folks say they are, so who am I to argue?
- Atlanta Hawks: Tony Ressler, Grant Hill
- Boston Celtics: Wyc Grousbeck
- Brooklyn Nets: Joe Tsai
- Charlotte Hornets: Gabe Plotkin
There’s also this Gabe Plotkin fella who owns the Charlotte Hornets, I think. These city names, always confusing me! Anyway, the list goes on, but my memory ain’t what it used to be. You get the picture, though. There’s a bunch of ‘em.
Now, why are there so many, you might wonder? Well, I reckon it’s ‘cause these folks got the money. Owning a basketball team ain’t cheap, you know. You need a whole heap of cash to do that. And somehow, these Jewish fellas, they seem to have a knack for making money. Good for them, I say. Money ain’t everything, but it sure helps when you want to buy a basketball team.

I heard some folks complaining about this, saying there ain’t enough black owners or somethin’. And yeah, that might be true. That Michael Jordan fella, he owns a team, or owned one, I can’t keep track. But most of the time it’s these, what-do-you-call-them, Jewish fellas. Now, I don’t see nothin’ wrong with that, as long as they treat their players right and don’t go around causing trouble.
Is it a big deal? I don’t know. Some folks get all riled up about who owns what. But me? I just like watching basketball. As long as the games are good, I don’t care if the owner is Jewish, Chinese, or from the moon! It’s just rich people doing rich people things, as far as I can tell. They got the money, they buy the teams, and we get to watch the games. That’s the way it is, I guess.
And speaking of players, there ain’t too many Jewish players neither. I heard tell of this one Israeli fella playing for the Portland Trail Blazers now, some name like Deni Avdija. Good for him, I say. Maybe one day he’ll own a team himself, who knows?
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of Jewish owners in the NBA. More than you might think, but maybe not as many as some people claim. Like I said, I ain’t got no official numbers, just what I hear from folks. But it seems like enough for people to take notice. And as long as the basketball is good, that’s all that matters to me, anyhow. You can take that to the bank.
Anyways, this is what I know. I ain’t got no more to say about it. Go enjoy your basketball games, folks, and don’t worry too much about who owns the teams. There’s bigger things to worry about in this world, that’s for sure.

And if someone tells you different, well, they can just go jump in a lake! I’ve said my piece, and that’s all there is to it.
