Alright, let’s talk about this “box Christmas tree” thing, ya know? I’ve seen a thing or two in my days, and this Christmas stuff, it just keeps gettin’ fancier and fancier. Back in my day, a tree was a tree, you chopped it down yourself, or maybe your man did, and that was that. But now, they got trees in boxes, bags, all sorts of contraptions.

So, what’s the deal with these box Christmas trees? Well, from what I gather, there’s a few different things they could be talkin’ about. First off, there’s them pre-Christmas boxes, the ones they call “Christmas Eve boxes.” Sounds fancy, right? Basically, it’s a box of little gifts you give to the young’uns, or even the grown-ups, the night before Christmas. Like a warm-up to the big day, ya know? Gets everyone all riled up and excited. They stuff ’em with little toys, candies, maybe some fuzzy socks. Nothin’ too big, just enough to make ’em smile.
Then there’s the actual trees in boxes. Now, these ain’t your regular ol’ trees you find in the woods. These are the fake ones, the ones made of plastic and wire. They come all folded up in a box, and you gotta put ’em together yourself. Some folks like ’em ’cause they’re easy to set up and take down, and you don’t gotta worry about needles all over the floor. And you can use ’em year after year, which I guess saves you some money in the long run. But they ain’t got that smell, you know, that piney smell that just screams Christmas.
- Fake trees are easy to put up and take down.
- They don’t drop needles all over the place.
- You can use them again and again.
- But they don’t smell like real Christmas trees.
And then there’s the boxes you use *after* Christmas, for puttin’ away your fake tree. Or even your real tree, if you’re one of them fancy folks who buys a real tree and then tries to keep it for next year. Don’t ask me how that works, sounds like a mess to me. These boxes, or more often bags, come in all shapes and sizes, and some even got wheels on ’em, so you can just roll that tree right into the attic or the shed. They say it keeps the dust and bugs off, which I guess is a good thing. Nobody wants a dusty, buggy tree next Christmas, that’s for sure.
Now, where to get all this stuff? Well, I hear tell you can find it just about anywhere these days. The big stores, the little stores, even online, on that there “inter-net” thing the grandkids are always talkin’ about. They say you can find anything on there, even a box Christmas tree, or a box for your Christmas tree, or a box to put little gifts in before Christmas. Too much boxin’ if you ask me!
Speaking of buying things, they say you can find good deals on eBay. Now, I ain’t never used that eBay thing myself, but the young’uns say you can get all sorts of stuff on there, sometimes cheaper than in the stores. So if you’re lookin’ for a bargain, maybe that’s the place to go. Just be careful, they say, ’cause not everyone on there is honest, and you don’t want to get swindled. Ain’t nothin’ worse than gettin’ ripped off, especially around Christmas time.

And what about them tree collars? Seems like another new-fangled thing. Instead of a regular ol’ tree skirt, they got these wooden boxes that go around the bottom of the tree. Makes it look all fancy and rustic, they say. I don’t know, seems like a lot of fuss to me. But if you like the way it looks, then go for it, I say. It’s your Christmas, you do what makes you happy.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of talk about box Christmas trees. Whether you’re lookin’ for a pre-Christmas box of goodies, a fake tree in a box, a box to store your tree in, or even a fancy wooden box to go around the bottom of your tree, there’s a box out there for ya. Just remember, it ain’t about the boxes, it’s about spending time with your loved ones and enjoyin’ the holidays. That’s what really matters, ya know?
And one more thing, don’t go spendin’ more money than you got. Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, not a time to go broke. So be smart with your money, and don’t let them fancy advertisements fool ya into buyin’ stuff you don’t need. A little bit of common sense goes a long way, especially durin’ the holidays.
Anyways, I gotta go now, got chores to do. You folks have a merry Christmas, and don’t forget to be kind to one another. That’s the best gift you can give.
