Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about them Denver Nuggets jerseys from back in 2017, you know, the ones they wore in that NBA 2K game. Don’t go gettin’ all fancy on me with them big words, I’m just gonna tell it like it is.

So, first off, them jerseys, they was made by Nike, ya hear? That swoosh company, they make all sorts of stuff. Now, the Nuggets, they had a few different jerseys that year, like them “Statement” edition ones. I reckon that means they was supposed to make a statement, like “Hey, look at us, we’re the Nuggets and we’re here to play ball!” They had a big reveal for them jerseys, down at that Sculpture Park place, fancy-schmancy like.
You could get them jerseys, all kinds, for men, women, even the little kids. Real deal authentic ones, like the players wear, or just regular ones, cheaper I guess. They sold ’em online, at the NBA store, easy peasy. I ain’t never bought one myself, too pricey for my blood, but I seen ’em on TV. Looked pretty sharp, I gotta say.
Now, what them jerseys looked like? Well, they had the Nuggets colors, you know, that navy blue and gold. Sometimes they had white too. And they had the team name, “Nuggets,” and the players’ numbers, big and bold. Some had the players’ names on the back too, so you knew who was who. I always liked watching them fellas runnin’ up and down the court, sweat pourin’ down their faces, them jerseys flappin’ in the wind.
- They had different styles, like I said. Some were plain, some had stripes or patterns.
- I think some folks got all worked up about which ones were the best, arguin’ back and forth.
- Me, I just liked watchin’ the game, didn’t care too much about the jersey details.
And them video games, like that NBA 2K, they had them jerseys in the game too, so you could play as the Nuggets and wear the same jerseys they wore in real life. My grandson, he loves them video games, spends hours playin’ ’em. I tell him, “Boy, you need to go outside and get some fresh air!” But he just grunts and keeps playin’. Kids these days, I tell ya.
Speaking of players, them jerseys showed off how good they was, or weren’t, at gettin’ them rebounds. You know, grabbin’ the ball after someone misses a shot. They had this thing called “TRB%”, which I guess tells ya how many rebounds a fella gets compared to how many chances he had. Good players, they get a lot of rebounds, help their team win. That’s what it’s all about, winnin’. And lookin’ good doin’ it, I suppose.

So, them 2017 Nuggets jerseys, they was a big deal, I guess. Nike made ’em, the Nuggets wore ’em, folks bought ’em, and they even put ’em in video games. It’s all part of that big basketball business, makin’ money and entertainin’ folks. Me, I just like watchin’ the games, cheerin’ for the home team, and havin’ a good time. And them jerseys, well, they just part of the show.
And if you’re lookin’ to buy one now? Well, I reckon you can still find them online somewhere, maybe on eBay or somethin’. Just be prepared to shell out some cash, them things ain’t cheap, especially the real ones. But if you’re a big Nuggets fan, and you want to show your support, then I guess it’s worth it. Just don’t go spendin’ your rent money on it, ya hear? Gotta keep a roof over your head, that’s more important than any jersey.
Anyway, that’s about all I got to say about them 2017 Nuggets jerseys. They were blue and gold, had the Nuggets name on ‘em, and the players wore ‘em while they played basketball. Nothin’ too complicated about it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some dinner. All this talk about basketball got me hungry.
